  • Patent number: 5255409
Abstract: An electric vacuum cleaner comprises a main body having an electric blower and a dust collecting chamber, a triac controlling the electric blower, a floor nozzle coupled to the main body, a pressure sensor sensing the pressure in the vicinity of a suction port of the electric blower, a current sensor sensing the current in a rotary brush driving motor of the floor nozzle, and a microcomputer. The microcomputer performs a fuzzy inference on the outputs of the pressure sensor and the current sensor to determine the duty cycle of the blower control triac on the basis of the result of the inference. By doing this, supply of power to the electric blower in accordance with the condition of a floor surface is realized.

  • Patent number: 4832576
Abstract: An electric fan comprises a rotary shaft supported on a mounting base plate. The rotary shaft is extended through a cylindrical stator and on a tip of the rotary shaft, the bottom of a cup-shaped rotor yoke as well as an impeller are secured. The stator is enclosed in the rotor yoke, on whose inner wall an anisotropic rotor magnet magnetized in the reverse polarity alternately in its circumferential direction is secured. The stator and the rotor form a DC brushless motor, whereby the impeller is rotated through the rotation of the rotor and the rotary shaft. In the proximity of the rotor magnet, there is provided a hall integrated circuit (IC), through which a rotating position of the rotor may be detected. On the basis of the rotating position signal from the hall IC, a microcomputer controls the current flowing period in such a manner that the current flowing through the stator coil will partly overlap between each phase.

  • Patent number: 4640601
Abstract: An electrophotographic copying machine includes a photosensitive drum. A first electrostatic latent image according to an original copy image is formed in a state wherein a certain electric charge is accumulated and an original copy image formed by a first light source like a halogen lamp is focussed on this photosensitive drum. In order to form an additional information other than the original copy image, an LED array as a second light source is provided. By the second light source the additional information is formed on the photosensitive drum as the second electrostatic latent image. In case of recording the additional information, a shield member is utilized to prevent the electrostatic latent image by the original copy from being formed in the corresponding region of the photosensitive drum. The photosensitive drum comprises a material like amorphous silicon which is able to react to both first and second light sources.

  • Patent number: 4378111
Abstract: This invention discloses a physical exercise appliance comprising an indicator device for selectively indicating exercise data or heart-pulse frequency data of the user or exerciser during the application of his physical energy. A circuit is provided for alternately indicating the exercise data and the heart-pulse frequency data on the indicator device at predetermined intervals when the indication of exercise data is designated. The circuit only indicates the heart-pulse frequency data on the indicator device when the indication of heart-pulse frequency data is designated. The heart-pulse frequency data may be read out at predetermined intervals, while exercise data such as an exercise period of time or an exercise speed are indicated on the indicator device. Therefore the user or exerciser can always know his physical conditions during the application of his physical energy and can pay attention such that he does not apply excessively his physical energy, thereby preventing him from becoming too tired.
