  • Publication number: 20110317858
Abstract: A hearing aid frontend device for frontend processing of ambient sounds. The frontend device is adapted for wearing use by a user and comprises first and second sound collectors adapted for collecting ambient sound with spatial diversity. The sounds collected by the sound collectors are processed by a sound processor. The sound process comprises a digital signal processor for beamforming sounds collected by the first and second collectors, and the processed sounds are subsequently subject to adaptive noise cancellation.

  • Publication number: 20090296966
Abstract: A hearing kit for use with a hearing device applying fixed beamforming technology, comprising a first end portion, a first microphone disposed at the first end portion, a second end portion, and a second microphone disposed at the second end portion. An elongated third portion is disposed between the first and second end portions for resting on the user's neck, adapted to position the first and second microphones on the left and right sides of the user at the same level. The first and second microphones are adapted to face outward toward the same direction in use. A processing unit is adapted to process signals received from the microphones and transmit processed signals to the hearing device. The microphones face toward the same direction of the user for receiving the listening sound.
