  • Patent number: 9077983
Abstract: A decoder, a projecting system, and a method for processing an image thereof are provided. The decoder is adapted to the projecting system having a projecting module and a shutter glass. The decoder includes a decoding circuit and an indicating unit. The projecting module outputs a frame turning control signal to the shutter glass. The decoding circuit receives and decodes a three-dimensional (3D) video signal to produce a first image data and a second image data to the projecting module. The indicating unit is coupled to the decoding circuit and correspondingly produces an indicating signal when the decoding circuit outputs one of the first image data and the second image data.

  • Publication number: 20130021436
Abstract: A decoder, a projecting system, and an image processing method of the projecting system are provided. The decoder is adapted to the projecting system having a projecting module. The decoder has a decoding circuit and a transceiver. The projecting module outputs a first and a second projected images and a frame switching control signal. The decoding circuit receives and decodes a three-dimensional video signal to generate a first and a second image data to the projecting module. The projecting module generates the first projected image according to the first image data and generates the second projected image according to the second image data. The transceiver receives and transmits the frame switching control signal to the decoding circuit, and the decoding circuit adjusts an output time sequence of the first projected image and the second projected image outputted from the projecting module according to the received frame switching control signal.

  • Publication number: 20120236116
Abstract: A decoder, a projection device, and an image processing method are provided. The decoder has a decoding circuit and a buffer coupled to the decoding circuit. The decoding circuit receives a three-dimensional video signal and a control signal and decodes the three-dimensional video signal to generate first image data and second image data. The buffer temporarily stores at least one of the first image data and the second image data. The decoding circuit adjusts an output time difference between outputting the first image data and outputting the second image data according to the control signal.

  • Publication number: 20120106759
Abstract: A speaker system and a method for optimizing an output of a speaker thereof are provided. The speaker system includes a speaker, an automatic gain control amplifier, a volume adjustment unit, a controller, and an indication unit. The function of the automatic gain control amplifier may be intelligently optimized by the controller, so that the controller may remind the user that the automatic gain control amplifier is operated in a reduced dynamic range through the indication unit in case that the volume adjustment unit receives an input sound frequency signal of a very high intensity. With the help of the indication unit, the user may easily find an optimal operation spot of the automatic gain control amplifier, and the speaker system may generate enough sound with a good dynamic range.

  • Patent number: 8089567
Abstract: The dimensions of a viewing screen are altered to fit the aspect ratio of video being displayed on the viewing screen. A viewing screen includes screen covers which may be displaced horizontally along the viewing screen. If a different aspect ratio video is being displayed, the screen covers are moved horizontally to increase or decrease the viewing area of the viewing screen. The video is then optically resized and shifted to fit the height or width of the screen.

  • Patent number: 7777948
Abstract: A projection screen is disclosed, which includes an upper housing, an upper roller, a reflecting curtain, a lower housing, a lower roller, a lower mask and a positioning assembly. The upper roller is pivoted in the upper housing. The reflecting curtain is wound on the upper roller and has a reflecting surface to form a projection area. The lower housing is fixed at a free end of the reflecting curtain. The lower roller is pivoted in the lower housing. The lower mask is wound on the lower roller. The positioning assembly detachably connects a free end of the lower mask to the reflecting curtain, so that the lower mask covers a portion of the reflecting surface of the reflecting curtain to define the boundary of the projection area.

  • Patent number: 7701518
Abstract: Systems and methods which can shift video to the edge of the display screen. The user can electrically and mechanically roll up or down the projection screen to fit the opposite edge. Further, the electrically shifted position can be memorized in memory, which will be easily recalled during future use. Also, to avoid displaying visible noise near the top edge of the video, the video may be shifted to avoid such noise being visible. The shifted position may be stored in memory to be recalled for future use.

  • Patent number: 7357514
Abstract: A video projector generates a black screen. Further, the video projector reduces the brightness of the light source which reduces the power level of the video projection system. Since the light source's power is reduced, less heat is generated by the video projector and the video projector's cooling fan may be slowed down. As a result, the video projector produces less noise.
