  • Publication number: 20230349563
Abstract: An AC unit with a lifting mechanism to lift or lower the AC unit relative to an insulated duct installed at a windowsill next to an insulated and relatively thick grill is disclosed. The AC unit includes multiple air conditioning components, a thermal shield integrated inside a housing, a skirt, and the lifting mechanism. A base portion of the housing is coupled to the top frame of the lifting mechanism. The lifting mechanism includes a pair of scissors pivoted to the bottom frame and the top frame. A telescopic skirt is arranged inside the bottom of the housing. The lifting mechanism ensures inlet and exhaust ports of the AC unit are aligned in a colinear fashion with respect to the duct so that the AC unit cools the condenser faster without wastage of effective air coming out of the air conditioning that would otherwise be used for cooling the room.

  • Publication number: 20230324053
Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) system that is compact, leakless, and power-efficient and integrates an evaporating element that heats and evaporates the meltwater collected within a drain pan disposed of in the outdoor portion. The proposed PTAC system includes an air sealing frame configurable within the sleeve of the PTAC system to completely seal off air infiltration from the sidewalls of the sleeve. The air sealing frame configurable within the sleeve further provides sufficient insulation and prevents any thermal bridge creation and also insulates the sound that usually gets transmitted from the outdoor portion to the indoor portion of the PTAC system or sound that’s experienced in the room. The proposed PTAC has a decreased protruding length of the indoor portion within the interior of the room due to the presence of the air sealing frame.

  • Publication number: 20230250973
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) system with an integrated energy recovery ventilator (ERV) unit or a heat recovery ventilator (HRV) unit. The integration of the ERV/HRV unit within the PTAC ensures lowering the work load of the compressor that would otherwise consume lot of power to cool/heat the room or any living space.

  • Publication number: 20230250980
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for balancing airflow or air pressure within a living space/room. The air balancer system includes a Room Air Balancer Trigger Module (RABTM) in communication with an ERV or HRV control module. The ERV or HRV control module is adapted for use with an ERV or HRV unit and the RABTM is configured to be used with an air exhausting facility of an attached facility such as a bathroom located in the living space or in the vicinity of the living space to ensure any negative air pressure created within the room or living space at any point of time is equally compensated to achieve balanced air pressure and quality within the room or living space.

  • Publication number: 20170364038
Abstract: A kinetically-powered wrist-worn electronic device is apparatus that includes a portable computing device, a wrist strap, a weight, and a generator. The portable computing device runs an operating system responsible for managing and distributes computing resources to various application software on the present invention. A wireless communication module accesses a wireless local area network (WLAN) or a wide area network (WAN) and enables the portable computing device to communicate with external computing devices. The wrist strap secures the portable computing device onto the wrist of the wearer. The weight uses a swinging mass which is designed to oscillate whenever the wearer moves his or her wrist. The generator harnesses and transforms the kinetic energy generated by the oscillating weight into usable electrical energy to power the portable computing device. The electrical energy is stored in a portable power which transfers the electrical energy to the portable computing device.
