Abstract: According to another aspect, an optical recording and/or reproducing apparatus includes a frame, a spindle motor, a pair of parallel guide rails, an optical pickup head, and a shield mounted on the guide rails. The shield extends a protection surface higher than a lens of the optical pickup head. The protection surface is in an optical disc region and lowers than the optical disc when the optical disc is supported on the spindle motor.

Abstract: A power controller, which is used for a pivotable display device, includes an actuator configured so as to be fixed with respect to a rotating axis of the display device; and a toggle switch configured for controlling electric power of the display device. The toggle switch is configured so as to be fixed to the display device, and includes a switch body and a toggle lever. The toggle lever rockably extends from the switch body for being pushed by the actuator to cut off electric power of the display device at a predetermined position of the display device.

Abstract: A traverse module for a disc apparatus includes a chassis, a spindle motor for rotating a disc thereon, a gasket set positioned between the spindle motor and the chassis; and a screw set corresponding to the gasket set. The spindle motor is mounted on the chassis. The screw set adjustably secures the spindle motor and the chassis via the gasket set.
