Abstract: A storage device includes a housing with an opening at the front end for receiving at least one storage container pushed in which can store a storage element, one end of the storage container being provided with a positioning portion; at least one engaging member being jointed rotatably at the rear end of the housing, one end of each engaging member being provided with a connecting portion for engaging the positioning portion of the storage container pushed into the inner of the housing to fix the storage container, and another end of each engaging member provided with a pushing portion. When users turn the engaging member, the connecting portion releases the positioning portion and then the pushing portion pushes the rear end of the storage container subsequently to eject the storage container outwardly.

Abstract: A proprietary portable audio player system for protecting digital content copyrights, which includes a proprietary portable audio player, a web access interface, and an online music server. The proprietary portable audio player has a hardware unique device identity. The proprietary portable audio player has a playback token acquirement mode and uses a first transmission medium to link with the online music server to thereby obtain a playback token for a corresponding music file playback. The online music server pre-stores a plurality of music files with compression formats, a plurality of playback tokens, and a mapping table. When a playback token signal from the web access interface is received, the online music server accordingly issues a playback token corresponding to a specific music file, updates the mapping table, and sends the playback token to the proprietary portable audio player through the first transmission medium.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for cursor control are provided. The present invention combines an optical mouse with a stationary pad, and integrates the shift information detected by a light sensor and pressure sensors. Therefore, accurate shift detection can be realized within limited space so as to control the cursor on the screen. In addition, the power of the optical mouse can be supplied by the stationary pad, such that the burden for movement of the optical mouse can be reduced.

Abstract: A Universal Information Code (UIC) resolves the encoding limitation associated with the known 2D bar code format. The UIC includes at least a type field and an index field. The type field indicates application type and format of other fields. The index field provides an index to access a website, categories of information, keyword of information, index or link to associated information and expansion information. The UIC further includes optionally a text description field and an authorization field. The text description field can be used to include a textual description of the website. The authorization field can be used to store password or public key. A mobile terminal device equipped with camera can fetch an image of the 2D bar code in UIC format and then extract related fields for interactive information exchange with a database.
