Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, a package-on-package (PoP) structure includes a first semiconductor package having a first side and a second side opposing the first side, a second semiconductor package having a first side and a second side opposing the first side, and a plurality of inter-package connector coupled between the first side of the first semiconductor package and the first side of the second semiconductor package. The PoP structure further includes a first molding material on the second side of the first semiconductor package. The second side of the second semiconductor package is substantially free of the first molding material.

Abstract: Interconnect structure packages (e.g., through silicon vias (TSV) packages, through interlayer via (TIV) packages) may be pre-manufactured as opposed to forming TIVs directly on a carrier substrate during a manufacturing process for a semiconductor die package at backend packaging facility. The interconnect structure packages may be placed onto a carrier substrate during manufacturing of a semiconductor device package, and a semiconductor die package may be placed on the carrier substrate adjacent to the interconnect structure packages. A molding compound layer may be formed around and in between the interconnect structure packages and the semiconductor die package.

Abstract: A memory device including a base semiconductor die, conductive terminals, memory dies, an insulating encapsulation and a buffer cap is provided. The conductive terminals are disposed on a first surface of the base semiconductor die. The memory dies are stacked over a second surface of the base semiconductor die, and the second surface of the base semiconductor die is opposite to the first surface of the base semiconductor die. The insulating encapsulation is disposed on the second surface of the base semiconductor die and laterally encapsulates the memory dies. The buffer cap covers the first surface of the base semiconductor die, sidewalls of the base semiconductor die and sidewalls of the insulating encapsulation. A package structure including the above-mentioned memory device is also provided.

Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a positioning module, a memory, a searching module, and a display module. The positioning module is used for receiving positioning signals and determining a current position of the portable electronic device according to the positioning signals. The memory is used for storing electronic map information, bus route information, and mapping relations between the electronic map information and the bus route information. The searching module is used for searching the nearest bus station corresponding to the current position of the portable electronic device and bus routes that goes to the nearest bus station in the memory. The display module is used for displaying the nearest bus station and the bus routes that goes to the nearest bus station on the electronic map.

Abstract: The present invention provides a computer system operable by users of either handedness. The computer system includes a mouse and a computer connected together by interfaces. The mouse generates a mode-setting signal by a mode shift unit shifting between two selectable positions. The computer includes: a storage unit configured for storing a current operation mode of the mouse; a mouse interface configured for connecting the computer to the mouse and receiving the mode-shifting signal from the mouse; a driver unit configured for converting the mode-setting signal into a mode-shifting signal into a format which can be recognized by a central processing unit (CPU) of the computer; and a controller configured for updating the current operation mode in the storage unit from one of the left-handed operation mode and the right-handed mode to another of the two modes.

Abstract: A method for operating the mouse adapted for right-handed or left-handed includes storing a default operation mode and a current operation mode of the mouse; generating button signals according to click operations exerted on buttons of the mouse; obtaining the current operation mode and the default operation mode; changing the button signals on condition that the default operation mode is different from the current operation mode; and sending the changed button signals to an external computer. A mouse adapted for use by either right-handed or left-handed persons is also provided.

Abstract: A portable electronic device for mapping and displaying route information includes a route generator, a length calculator, a travel time calculator, and a display system. The route generator is configured for generating a route between a starting location and a destination based on predetermined mapping data. The length calculator is configured for determining a length of the route based on the predetermined mapping data. The travel time calculator is configured for determining a travel time based on a speed of the portable electronic device and the length. The display system is configured for displaying the route and the travel time for guiding a user to the destination. A related travel time forecast method is also provided.

Abstract: A method for managing access authorization of peripherals of an electronic apparatus is provided. The method includes the step of: providing a data storage for storing a peripheral registry table which stores hardware IDs of the peripherals; reading the hardware ID of the peripheral when the peripheral is connected to the electronic apparatus; determining whether the hardware ID is recorded in the peripheral registry table; activating an access of the peripheral when the hardware ID is recorded in the peripheral registry table; and registering the hardware ID of the peripheral into the peripheral registry table when the hardware ID is not recorded in the peripheral registry table.

Abstract: A security protection method used in a portable electronic device is provided. The portable electronic device provides an ID table for recording IDs of external electronic devices that are allowed to access the portable electronic device. The method includes: obtaining an ID of an external electronic device when the external electronic device is connected to the portable electronic device; determining whether the obtained ID exists in the ID table; and allowing the connected external electronic device to access the portable electronic device when the obtained ID exists in the ID table. A portable electronic device used the method is also provided.

Abstract: A system of supplying power between portable devices includes a power providing portable device and a power receiving portable device. The power providing portable device includes a rechargeable battery, a voltage regulator, a voltage selector, and an output port. The voltage regulator is used for regulating output voltage from the rechargeable battery according to the voltage selector and transmitting the power via the output port to the power receiving portable device. The power receiving portable device includes an input port for receiving power from the providing device and transmitting power to a rechargeable battery of the receiving device. A portable device used in the system for either receiving or supplying power is also disclosed in the invention.

Abstract: An audio player capable of allowing multiple persons to listen to different multimedia files simultaneously is provided. The audio player includes a processing unit and a plurality of output channels. Each of the output channels is configured for outputting multimedia files. Each of the output channels includes a codec, an amplifier, and an audio output port. The amplifier is connected to the codec and the audio output port. The processing unit is connected with the output channels. The processing unit is configured for establishing a plurality of processes and for controlling performance of the processes according to time division multiplexing (TDM) technology. Wherein, each of the processes is configured for playing multimedia files and is assigned with one of the output channels for outputting the multimedia files.

Abstract: A system for inspecting a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel (10) includes a magnifier (11) for magnifying an image of the inspected LCD panel, a charge coupled device (CCD) camera (12) for capturing the magnified image of the inspected LCD panel, an image acquisition card (13) for converting analog signals of the magnified image into digital signals, and a computer (14). The computer is for obtaining color template intervals based on a statistical theory, rotating the magnified image when necessary, obtaining transverse mask codes and longitudinal mask codes of magnified image pixels, obtaining a color transverse mask code matrix of sub-pixels of the inspected LCD panel, and determining whether the sub-pixels of the inspected LCD panel are defective according to the color transverse mask matrix. A related method for inspecting an LCD is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hearing protection method while reproducing an audio file, includes: selecting at least one of the audio files as predetermined audio files; receiving a play instruction; resetting a playing time when receiving the play instruction; obtaining and reproducing a desired audio file in accordance with the play instruction; clocking the playing time; detecting whether the playing time surpasses a predetermined critical duration; and when the playing time surpasses the predetermined critical duration, terminating the reproducing of the desired audio file; obtaining and reproducing the at least one predetermined audio files, thus, preventing users from hearing damage. The present invention also provides a corresponding audio processing system for hearing protection.
