  • Publication number: 20240096498
Abstract: A method for evaluating a risk of a subject getting a specific disease includes steps of: storing a reference database that contains original parameter sets; selecting target alleles from an SNP profile derived from genome sequencing data of a subject; selecting target parameter sets from among the original parameter sets; calculating, for each of the target parameter sets, a race factor based on a global risk allele frequency and a group-specific risk allele frequency included in the target parameter set; calculating a genetic factor based on statistics, global reference allele frequencies, the race factors for the target parameter sets, and numbers of chromosomes in homologous chromosome pairs included in the target parameter sets; calculating a citation factor based on numbers of citation times included in the target parameter sets; and calculating a risk score based on the genetic factor and the citation factor.

  • Patent number: 7082160
Abstract: A pulse width control system includes a serial transmission line for receiving serial data signals and a differential pair having a first transistor and a second transistor. The first and second transistors are connected to the transmission line for respectively producing a positive data signal and a negative data signal. The first and second transistors are respectively controlled by a first control signal and a second control signal, with a differential data signal being produced by subtracting the negative data signal from the positive data signal. First and second delay control cells are connected to the first and second transistors for respectively delaying the first and second control signals. Delay times caused by the first and second delay control cells to delay the first and second control signals are adjusted to ensure that all data pulses of the differential data signal have uniform width.

  • Patent number: 7020795
Abstract: The present invention provides an operating method for detecting and solving the underflow and the overflow by using the oversampling. The operating method is suitable for the transmitter and the receiver that are using different clock frequencies to transmit data. In the present operating method, when the receiver receives a plurality of received packages, the leading edge sampling phase of each received package having the most frequency in the first synchronous period is used as the initial leading edge sampling phase. Afterwards, the underflow circulation center point and overflow circulation center point are determined. Then, the underflow operation and the overflow operation are processed according to the underflow circulation center point and overflow circulation center point. The extra bit is thrown away when the underflow operation is processing, and the lost bit is inserted when the overflow operation is processing.

  • Publication number: 20030178547
Abstract: A process for producing an article with a microstructure includes the steps of forming a primary relief structure on a surface of a substrate, applying a photo resist on the substrate, exposing part of the photo resist using a photo mask so as to form a microstructure pattern, developing the microstructure pattern in the exposed photo resist, thereby allowing access to a part of the primary relief structure from the photo resist, and thereby forming a patterned surface with a microstructure relief that is bounded by the exposed part of the primary relief structure and by remainder of the photo resist on the substrate, and forming a metal layer on the patterned surface to form the article having the microstructure with a profile corresponding to the microstructure relief on the patterned surface.
