Abstract: A method for controlling electronic device includes the following blocks. A control signal is received from an earphone jack. A predefined control command corresponding to the control signal is obtained. At least one application associated with the predefined control command is determined whether is initialized. The predefined control command is executed when the at least one application is initialized.

Abstract: A capacity determining system includes a measuring module, a reference module, and a calculating module. The measuring module is configured to measure current capacity of a battery of an electronic device. The reference module is configured to define standard consuming capacities of functions of the electronic device. The calculating module is configured to calculate results for performing the functions by respectively dividing the standard consuming capacities into the current capacity. A method for determining capacity of a battery of an electronic device is also provided.

Abstract: A testing system includes a portable device with a speaker and a computer connected to the portable device. The computer includes a testing procedure capable of sending test instructions to the portable device. In response to receiving the test instructions the portable device sends commands to the speaker to instruct the speaker emitting audio. The computer is capable of registering audio from the speaker and comparing the audio with predetermined audio parameters. A testing method of a mobile phone utilizing above described testing system is also disclosed.

The testing server has test scripts for testing the computer. The system of testing the computer further includes a bootable disk (20) that connects to the computer. The bootable disk includes a testing image for starting up the computer. A method of testing a computer based on the testing system includes steps as follows: connecting the bootable disk to the computer to startup the computer; downloading test scripts from the testing server to the computer; running the test scripts and testing the computer.

Abstract: A method for managing and using a test system is proposed, which is applied to the test system comprising a test server and a test workstation, and allows a user to perform a test and obtain a test report according to the user's right for accessing the test server and an actual operating state of the test workstation. The users are assigned to different test groups set up in the test server. The test workstation activates a start-up window for the user to input data thereto and transmits the data to the test server. The test server then processes the transmitted data and produces the corresponding test report according to the right of the user and the right of the test group which the user belongs to for accessing the test server.

Abstract: A method for downloading and managing a test tool of a test system is proposed, which is applied to the test system having a test service server and a tested machine. A test tool required for performing a test for the tested machine is available as being downloaded from the test service server through a network, which connects the tested machine and the test service server, so as to examine if the tested machine works properly. As such, the test service server acts as a reservoir for the test tools and is used to activate start-up for the test, allowing the tested machine to be initiated with test conditions and user conditions for using the test tool being inputted to the test tool.

Abstract: A client/server based dynamic information feedback system comprising: a client sender module, for collecting data and sending the data; a server receiving & analysis module, for receiving the data and analyzing the data; a server statistical & publishing module, for calculating the data and resulting in statistical data, then storing the statistical data into a database; and a client feedback receiving module, sending a request to the server end and causing feedback, then returning the feedback to the client end. A client/server based dynamic information feedback method comprising the steps of: (a) collecting data and sending the data from the client end; (b) receiving the data from the client end and analyzing the data on the server end; (c) calculating the data and resulting in statistical data, then storing the statistical data into a database on the server end; and (d) sending a request to the server end and causing feedback, then returning the feedback to the client end.

Abstract: A method for processing data and generating a test report of a test system is proposed, wherein the test system used therein consists of a test client, a database server, a web server, and a report browser. The foregoing method allows a tester at the test client to transmit real-time tested data through a browser of the test client to the database server that is connected with the test client, wherein the database server is further connected with the web server is used to process and store the tested data therein. Accordingly, a viewer is allowed to search the tested data stored in the database server through the report browser connecting with the web server and to generate a test report according to his/her authorized access right to the web server and the database server. Moreover, the test report also includes integrated information of the test environment, test items and test results, and is allowed to store in the report browser for future analysis.

Abstract: A method for monitoring and browsing a database for a test system is proposed. In application of the internet system, a user connects a personal computer and an internet server through a network, wherein the internet server is connected a database server or acts as a database server if a database system is installed in the internet server, allowing the user to browse test results in the database server. With a proper access right for the database system, the user can remotely access and control the database system by using a browser and internet. As a result, the method for monitoring and browsing the database for the test system, by means of the browser and internet, allows the user not only to browse the test results in the database system but also to monitor and control the database system remotely.
