  • Patent number: 10834127
Abstract: An email attempting to perpetrate a business email compromise (BEC) attack is detected based on similarity of the email to a known BEC email and on similarity of the email to a user email that would have been sent by the purported sender of the email. Metadata of the email is extracted and input to a BEC machine learning model to find the known BEC email among BEC email samples. The extracted metadata are also input to a personal user machine learning model of the purported sender to generate the user email.

  • Publication number: 20200347682
Abstract: An enhanced riser control system may employ electrical tensioners coupled to a drilling riser by wires. The electrical tensioners may provide quick response to a tension controller to handle positioning of the drilling riser. The electrical tensioners of the enhanced riser control system may be combined with hydro-pneumatic tensioners in a riser hybrid tensioning system. A controller within the enhanced riser control system may be configured to distribute tension to electrical tensioners and to control electrical tensioners to adjust the length of the first and second wires. Energy from an electrical tensioner may be transferred to an energy storage system or to power dissipaters for dissipating the energy generated by the electrical tensioner. The energy transferred from an electrical tensioner may be energy that has been generated by the electrical tensioner.

  • Publication number: 20200309885
Abstract: Provided is a method for measuring pH. Using amide protons as an endogenous contrast agent, a chemical exchange saturation transfer effect ratio R of amide protons corresponding to a pH-known amide proton solution under different saturation powers is measured by the method, then a function relation between pH and R is established according to different pH-known amide proton solutions and the corresponding measured R thereto, and finally the desired pH is calculated according to experimentally measured Ri and the function relation. The method can eliminate the impact of concentration and does not require any estimation or measurement of the parameters such as the concentration of exchangeable protons, the longitudinal relaxation time of water, etc., and therefore can measure pH more accurately, conveniently and non-invasively.

  • Publication number: 20200199946
Abstract: A riser data logging system can be installed on the riser top to provide real time information of the riser, instead of or in addition to relying on sensors installed on a tensioner. The riser recoil detection system can thus be made independent of any motion of the vessel. This logging system can feedback the riser top acceleration, velocity, position, and the wire-line tensions into a controller. By comparing the acceleration difference between the riser top and the vessel body, the controller can provide more reliable and faster detection of events occurring on a vessel, potentially detecting the condition within one second. If the acceleration exceeds a certain limit, the electrical tensioners are able to reduce the wire-line tension nearly instantaneously, providing a much more effective anti-recoil control that conventional hydro-pneumatic tensioners.
