  • Patent number: 11487463
Abstract: In one aspect, adaptive replication modes in a storage system are provided. An aspect includes during an active replication session in which a first type of replication is performed at the storage system, monitoring write input/output (IO) operations, collecting data from the write IO operations, and determining, from the collected data, write IO latency. Upon determining that a threshold value has been met from the write IO latency, where the threshold value is defined for the first type of replication, an aspect includes automatically switching from the first type of replication to a second type of replication. The second type of replication is configured to compensate for operational deficiencies detected in response to the write IO latency.

  • Patent number: 11403367
Abstract: Techniques described herein perform spherical PIP analysis by detecting whether a test ray (defined by a test point (TP) and a point (EP) that is external to a spherical polygon) crosses edge arcs (“edges”) of the polygon based on relative orientations of vertices of the test ray and edges. A classifier vector (CV) for a test ray is calculated based on the cross-product of the TP and the EP. Using the CV, the orientation of each vertex of the polygon with respect to the test ray is determined. Candidate edges having vertices with opposite orientations with respect to the test ray are identified. Crossing edges are determine by calculating CVs for each candidate edge, and determining orientations of the TP and EP with respect to each candidate edge. A set of crossing edges is determined, where the TP and the EP have opposite orientations with respect to each crossing edge.

  • Patent number: 11311400
Abstract: The invention provides methods to prepare protein conjugates from proteins having at least two cysteines. In one embodiment, a protein with a disulfide linkage is reduced to provide two free cysteines for reaction with a 1,3-dihaloacetone or similar reactant, linking the sulfur atoms of the two cysteines together. The ketone inserted between the sulfur atoms is then used to form a Schiff base to an aminated payload molecule, thus conjugating the protein to a payload. In another embodiment, two cysteine residues are tied together by reaction with a 1,3-dihaloacetone or similar reactant. The linkage between the sulfur atoms in each case holds the protein or peptide in a constrained conformation, while also providing a convenient place for attaching a payload with good specificity and efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20210354183
Abstract: The present invention discloses a dynamic straightening method for a left/right tilt. The method includes: drawing an unevenness curve according to a distance from a shapemeter to a surface of a plate, where there are a plurality of unevenness curves; using a barycentric formula to obtain a first barycentric coordinate of each unevenness curve; calculating a tilt value of a straightening roll corresponding to each unevenness curve according to the first barycentric coordinate of each unevenness curve; determining an unevenness curve of a current straightening roll; adjusting the straightening roll according to the tilt value of the straightening roll corresponding to the unevenness curve, to straighten the plate; and going back to the step of determining an unevenness curve of a current straightening roll until the plate is totally straightened. The present invention improves plate straightening accuracy by dynamically adjusting parameters of the straightening roll.
