  • Publication number: 20180312772
Abstract: The present invention provides an oxidation inhibitor for diesel that improves the oxidative stability thereof and a diesel fuel composition having an excellent oxidative stability. A diesel fuel composition excellent in oxidative stability and low-temperature fluidity is obtained by adding an oxidation inhibitor that contains a fatty acid methyl ester derived from palm, rapeseed or soybean oil and in which the contents of polyunsaturated and saturated fatty acid methyl esters are each specified.

  • Patent number: 9701916
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a high quality biodiesel fuel having excellent oxidation stability and few low-temperature deposits. This purpose can be achieved by the following: hydrogenating a biodiesel fuel so as to selectively convert unsaturated fatty acid monoglycerides and then removing fatty acid monoglycerides through precipitation; or using an adsorbent to further remove fatty acid monoglycerides to a high degree from the biodiesel fuel produced using the method mentioned above.

Date of Patent: July 11, 2017
Assignee: NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED INDUSTRIAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Inventors: Makoto Toba, Yohko Abe, Yuuji Yoshimura, Takehisa Mochizuki
  • Patent number: 9650582
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method for hydrogenating a biodiesel fuel for producing a biodiesel fuel having an excellent oxidation stability and cold flow property. The present invention serves to produce a biodiesel fuel excellent in oxidation stability, by hydrogenating a biodiesel fuel with oxygen present in the reaction system in the presence of a catalyst containing at least one type of noble metal selected from metals of Groups 8 to 10 in the periodic table.
