  • Patent number: 9965091
Abstract: Provided is a technique whereby, in an input device in which a plurality of touch panels are arranged so as to be adjacent to one another, even if an upper limit number of input operations on the touch panels as a whole is less than the total number of input operations, an input operation with respect to the touch panels as a whole can be determined according to frequencies of input operations. The input device detects contact positions corresponding to input operations detected at fixed time intervals on each of the touch panels arranged so as to be adjacent to one another, and outputs contact positions the number of which is less than the sum of the numbers of the input operations detectable during the fixed time interval on the respective touch panels.

  • Publication number: 20170046007
Abstract: An input device (1) includes a drive electrode provided in each of sensor areas (R1 to R4) and configured to receive a drive signal, a sense electrode configured to output a response signal to the drive signal, and a control unit (20) configured to input a drive signal to the drive electrode to drive each of the sensor areas, and detect, in each of the sensor areas, touch or approach of a target object to each of the sensor areas. The control unit (20) controls to simultaneously drive at least two of the sensor areas. Drive signals inputted to the drive electrodes in the at least two simultaneously driven sensor areas have drive frequencies different from each other.

  • Publication number: 20170024072
Abstract: Even when a slide operation is performed over a boundary between a plurality of touch panels arranged so as to be adjacent to one another, the operation can be detected appropriately. An input device 1 includes a plurality of touch panels 101 to 104 arranged so as to be adjacent to each other. A controller 11 detects an input operation as to each of the touch panels, and outputs contact information that contains a contact position on a touch panel coordinate plane corresponding to the input operation on the touch panel, and release detection information that indicates whether or not the contact position is a release position at which the contact with the touch panel stopped.

  • Patent number: 9405397
Abstract: A touch panel-equipped display device and program are provided that displays natural imagery that does not leave the user unsatisfied when a character, geometric shape or the like fed via the touch panel is displayed in a style that resembles one created with a brush (i.e. brush-written style). The touch panel-equipped display device includes a display panel unit, a touch panel unit, a touch panel controller, an application unit, a display processing unit and a panel driver. The application unit recognizes a touch point track on the touch panel surface based on touch point coordinate information, and performs the fade or hook drawing process depending on the touch point track.

  • Publication number: 20160162116
Abstract: A display device with a lock function includes a touch panel; a display panel control unit that drives the display panel; a touch panel control unit that controls the touch panel; a lock setting unit that, at a prescribed timing, makes the display panel control unit display a lock screen showing an unlock image and activates the lock function; and an unlock unit that deactivates the lock function when a specific touch operation with respect to the unlock image is received; a coordinate setting unit that sets, when the lock function is deactivated, coordinate data that represents the coordinate range of the touch panel in accordance with the specific touch operation and the display location of the unlock image; and a correction unit that, after the lock function is deactivated, corrects the input location of an touch operation performed on the touch panel in accordance with the coordinate data.

  • Patent number: 8743090
Abstract: Disclosed is a display device equipped with an input section that can be operated accurately. A display device equipped with an input section (50) of the present invention includes a correcting section (39), which includes a sensor location detecting section (28) that detects the location of the optical axis of light projected from the light-projecting section. To the sensor location detecting section (28), the location information of a pointer is inputted as the location of the optical axis of the light. The correcting section (39) also includes a sensor shape detecting section (29) that detects the shape of the light-receiving region receiving the light projected from the light-projecting section. The display device equipped with an input section (50) further includes a pointer location correcting section that corrects the pointer location.
