    Abstract: A transfer device is configured by a conveying part and a lifting part both fixed to a casing. The conveying part forms a latticework by two groups of rollers aligned in a first direction and a second direction in matrix and includes chains for rotating the group of rollers aligned in the first direction and the group of rollers aligned in the second direction per group and driving devices for conveyance. The lifting part includes a driving device for lifting, rectilinearly-movable members for performing a rectilinear motion, and converting members for converting the rectilinear motion of the rectilinearly-movable member to a rotational motion and further to a lifting motion so as to transmit the lifting motion to the rollers. The converting members are arranged at the respective lattice points to lift up and down either group of rollers concurrently, which form a flat surface to convey articles.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to the one-time only call preventing device of a portable telephone set, and it particularly aims to provide a device preventing one-time only calls without answering to an unpleasant call by charging its originator for a one-time only call. For example, if a one-time only call arrives, a telephone directory database is retrieved. If the originating number of the one-time only call is not registered in the telephone directory database, or if the number is for a call set to a zero-calling time even though it is registered in the telephone directory database, the one-time only coping process of the present invention is performed. By adopting such a configuration, one-time only calls can be prevented and also answering to such unpleasant calls can be done without.

    Abstract: A transverse conveyance apparatus for roller conveyors comprises a frame, a crosswise feeding mechanism mounted to the frame and a lift device for raising and lowering the frame. Each of rotating portions of the crosswise feeding mechanism is of a width freely movable through between two adjacent rollers of the conveyor. The lift device comprises a cylinder, lids closing opposite ends thereof, fixed shafts protruding outwards and longitudinally of the cylinder that is coaxial with said shafts capable of rotating relative to the lids, a motor built in and driving the cylinder to rotate around and relative to the shafts, a reducer built therein, and a resistance unit also built therein and increasing resistance against rotation thereof. Attachment-engaging portions are formed on the respective lids and disposed longitudinally of the cylinder to face outwards so that the portions and the cylinder rotate together. The portions have axes arranged offset with respect to axes of the shafts.
