    Abstract: In a structure for mounting a filter in a compressor, a mounting member is connected to the filter. A receiving hole is formed in a housing of the compressor for receiving therein the mounting member. A first fitting portion is formed on an inner circumferential surface of a holding portion of the filter. A second fitting portion is formed on an outer circumferential surface of the mounting member for having fitting relation to the first fitting portion for an overlap distance in a radial direction of the receiving hole. When the mounting member is received in the receiving hole with the fitting relation, the filter is disposed in a fluid passage of the housing. A clearance having a dimension is formed between an outer circumferential surface of the holding portion and an inner circumferential surface of the receiving hole. Minimum value of the dimension is smaller than the overlap distance.

The seals are arranged at end portions of the rotary shaft that project from a housing of the compressor. A first lubrication chamber is defined by a first seal in the housing around the front end portion of the rotary shaft. A second lubrication chamber is defined by a second seal in the housing around the rear end portion of the rotary shaft. A shaft passage extends through the rotary shaft to connect the first and second lubrication chambers. Refrigerant gas including lubricating oil flows from a crank chamber to a suction chamber via the first lubrication chamber, the shaft passage, and the second lubrication chamber. This efficiently cools and lubricates the seals.

    Abstract: In a hybrid compressor, a compression mechanism includes a rotary shaft, which has a first end and a second end. The first end of the rotary shaft is coupled to a rotating body, which receives power from an external drive source. The second end of the rotary shaft is coupled to an electric motor, which drives the rotary shaft. The rotary shaft is coupled to a rotor of the electric motor via a one-way clutch, which prevents power from being transmitted from the rotary shaft to the rotor. The rotor is supported by a motor shaft, which is separate from the rotary shaft. The second end of the rotary shaft is coupled to an end of the motor shaft using the one-way clutch as a coupling.

    Abstract: An apparatus for embedding information comprises: a blocking step for dividing data to be processed into blocks; an orthogonal transform step for obtaining coefficients by carrying out orthogonal transformation for each block; an embedding coefficient selecting step for determining coefficients in which the watermark-information will be embedded by using a random sequence which is generated by initial value; an information embedding step for sequentially embedding the watermark-information, which has arbitrary length of bits, by quantizing value of said coefficients using a predetermined value for quantization; and an inverse orthogonal transform step for carrying out inverse orthogonal transformation for modified coefficients to form block in which the watermark-information is embedded, as well as combining the divided blocks and reconstructing the original form.
