Abstract: A mat for pet toilet has a base material, belt-like protrusions that have flat planes having no adhesiveness on top portions on the base material, and are arranged side by side therebetween by providing concave grooves at an interval at which no pet trips and falls in places between the grooves, and adhesive layers provided in bottom portions of the concave grooves. Granular matters for pet toilet to be attached onto legs of a pet getting out of the pet toilet are dropped and separated from the pet while the pet walks on flat portions of the belt-like protrusions on the mat for pet toilet, by arranging the mat for pet toilet around the pet toilet, fall in the adhesive layers provided between the belt-like protrusions, and are adhesively captured, and thus are not scattered on the floor around the pet toilet.

Abstract: A manufacturing process for cat litter having 30 to 80 parts of weight of a powdered organic substance as the base material having particle sizes less than 840 ?m, 1 to 10 parts of weight of a powdered highly absorbing resin, 5 to 20 parts of weight of powders of either green tea leaves before extraction of the water soluble effective ingredient or Japanese Cypress, 3 to 10 parts of weight of a binder consisting of a highly water soluble natural macromolecule having particle sizes less than 74 ?m, being input into a high-speed mixer, and the mixture evenly mixed by this high-speed mixer by agitating blades rotating at a speed of 300 to 800 rpm are granulated by a granulating device, and then the granules thus obtained are dried by a drier until they become to have a bulk density of 0.20 to 0.50 g/cm3 and a water absorbing capacity of 1.3 to 3.5 times of their own weight.

Abstract: A manufacturing method according to the present invention is to offer a manufacturing process, wherein unnecessary manufacturing processes are eliminated and expensive equipment and machinery needed for such processes are un-necessitated, thus manufacturing and supply of high quality product (cat litter) is made possible at lower cost. Abstract: A disposal material for animal excretions is granules of a mixed material which contains (i) 60-90 parts of weight of powdered cedar wood material (cuttings, shavings and sawdust) and/or the cedar wood materials remaining as the residues after extracting cedar oil from those cedar wood materials, having sizes of less than or equal to 10 mesh, and (ii) 5-15 parts of weight of a powdered binder. The granules thus manufactured have a bulk density of 0.25-0.6 g/cm3 and an absorption capacity of 1.1-2.0 times its own weight. This disposal material for animal excretions is 100% natural organic, and can be incinerated after use. It has antibacterial, repellant, and fragrant properties, and can be flushed down the toilet.

Abstract: An animal excretion treating material is a granulated product of a mixture comprising 49 to 59% by weight of a powdered natural organic substance having a particle size of 60 mesh or less, 20 to 30% by weight of powdered bentonite having a particle size of 200 mesh or less, 6 to 16% by weight of a powdered highly water-absorbable resin, and 5 to 15% by weight of a powdered binder. The granulated product having a bulk density of 0.25 to 0.5 g/cm.sup.3 and a water-absorbing ability of 1.3 to 3 times its own weight. Thus, the animal excretion treating material is combustible and can be burnt up, and particles of the animal excretion treating material are coagulated and discarded in a smaller amount in one excretion.
