  • Publication number: 20090031021
Abstract: In the conventional content, a minimum access unit of the random access information is one frame unit. In the case of SVC video content, one frame consists of a plurality of scalable layers. The SVC data can be used for each salable layer only when the data is accessible for each scalable layer. The present invention provides a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving an SVC file for each scalable layer wherein the SVC file can be accessed for each scalable layer by allowing metadata to contain a layer descriptor in a network abstraction layer unit (NALU) or in a byte unit.

  • Publication number: 20080270888
Abstract: Provided is a method for generating metadata for symbolic music and a music restoring apparatus employing the same, and more particularly, a method for generating metadata for ornaments existing in the Korean traditional music and an apparatus for restoring multimedia including the same. A method for generating metadata for music, which is suggested in the present invention, includes the steps of: a) generating an extensible Markup Language (XML) notation for ornaments; b) generating a complete form of metadata including the XML notation; and c) generating metadata for entire music by using the complete form of metadata and the XML notation.

  • Publication number: 20070009650
Abstract: A paste dispenser and a method of controlling the same are disclosed. The paste dispenser includes a dispensing head having a nozzle for dispensing paste mounted thereon, and a stage having a substrate mounted thereon and moving relative to the dispensing head, in which the substrate mounted on the stage is moved without rotating the stage to form a paste pattern. The method of controlling the paste dispenser includes putting a substrate on a stage, acquiring position information of the substrate on the stage, and setting a dispensing position of a nozzle by moving a dispensing head having the nozzle mounted thereon without rotating the stage.

  • Publication number: 20050235157
Abstract: Disclosed is a program recommendation system and method which receive PSIP/SI and programming information on digital broadcasting and provide a program recommendation service to viewers in an EPG application. The system receives personal information in order to set information of each viewer, confirms the received PSIP/SI information, and generates watching information through a viewer watching TV, in a predetermined format. In addition, the system inputs the generated watching information to a database, converts watching information of each viewer which is stored in the database input unit into divided input patterns using a fuzzy membership function to analyze the input patterns, and extracts information on a program with a high degree of preference from the analyzed result. Furthermore the system outputs preference program information of each viewer on a screen in order to recommend a program.
