Abstract: Provided are a user authentication apparatus and method for supporting PMIPv6 (Proxy Mobile Internet Protocol version 6) in next generation networks. Authentication and mobility signaling protocol can be performed without having an additional signaling process when a mobile terminal moves by extending user profiles of the next generations to support the PMIPv6.

Abstract: Provided is a service recognition method of a router in IPv6 environment, allowing a router to facilitate access of a mobile terminal to various services by using service information of a service header and identification information of the mobile terminal included in an IPv6 packet transmitted from the mobile terminal. The service recognition method includes: a) looking up predefined service cache by using service identification of IPv6 packet as index key of the service cache when the IPv6 packet including the service ID in a service header is received from the mobile terminal; b) changing destination address into address of the service server when the address of the service server and service control information are determined through the lookup of the service-cache to request service and perform service control; and c) routing to the mobile terminal by using the IPv6 packet when service response is transmitted from the service server.

Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method of dividing virtual sites using policy properties in multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) networks. In this method, when multiple virtual sites are selected with respect to one interface, not only usually used source IP addresses and VLAN tags but also TOS fields and MPLS labels are used so that more various kinds of virtual sites can be selected. Also, since the TOS fields and MPLS labels can express additional QoS-related information, differentiated services can be provided by selecting a wider variety of kinds of virtual sites.

Abstract: An anycast routing method and apparatus for supporting a consecutive service flow are provided. In the any cast routing method, an anycast service is requested to at least one of the servers, and a packet including a destination option header with an anycast address is received as a response for the anycast service request from at least one of the servers. Then, the anycast address is stored in an anycast cache. The packet is transmitted through an anycast routing operation using the anycast address stored in the anycast cache if data to transmit to the service flow of at least one of the servers is received from an application.
