  • Publication number: 20240125326
Abstract: A fan motor includes a rotating shaft on which an impeller is mounted, a motor unit for driving the rotating shaft, a plurality of bearings supporting the rotating shaft, a spring serially disposed between the plurality of bearings to axially apply force to an outer ring of one of the plurality of bearings, and a cylinder brought into contact with the spring to transfer elastic pressing force of the spring to the outer ring of the bearing. Accordingly, by applying a preload to the outer ring of the bearing, a ball of the bearing can be restricted from moving axially and radially between the outer ring and an inner ring of the bearing. The spring has a structure that is surface-contactable and has a length shorter than a diameter, and does not require a separate cartridge such as a sleeve for fixing the spring.

  • Patent number: 10968907
Abstract: A linear compressor includes a cylinder that defines a compression chamber configured to accommodate refrigerant and that includes a cylinder nozzle configured to receive refrigerant, and a piston provided in the cylinder and configured to be pressed by refrigerant in the cylinder. The piston includes a piston body configured to move forward and backward within the cylinder, a piston front part located on a front surface of the piston body, the piston front part comprising a suction port through which refrigerant is supplied into the compression chamber, and a refrigerant collection part that is recessed from an outer circumferential surface of the piston front part, that extends to a front surface of the piston front part, and that is configured to receive at least a portion of refrigerant compressed in the compression chamber.

  • Patent number: 8365209
Abstract: An optical disc drive is disclosed. The optical disc drive comprises a housing including an upper housing and a lower housing; and a herringbone pattern that is protruded toward the inner space of the housing on the inner surface of the upper housing and causes an air flow generated by the rotation of an optical disc to be switched to the direction of the optical disc. The herringbone pattern comprises at least one inflection point, and makes an acute angle at the inflection point relative to the direction of the air flow formed along the inner surface of the upper housing. Accordingly, the optical disc can be stably chucked and rotated by switching the air flow generated by the rotation of the optical disc to the direction of the optical disc.
