    Abstract: A card application stored in a USIM provides services in cooperation with device applications stored in a mobile device. The device application is downloaded for use by the user according to need. When the USIM is transferred to the new device at the time of changing the mobile device, the card application is also transferred therewith. Information unique to the card application stored in the USIM and information unique to the device are handed over to a search system, and the search system sends the compatible device application information as the search result based on the information to the mobile device, and makes the mobile device display the search result and then the user selects and performs download procedures according to need.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a payment method that balances reliability, security, and speed of payments, a system for the same, and a recording medium storing a program for the same. In one embodiment, a financial institution such as a credit company, a bank, or the like determines whether or not a payment request from a buyer is valid using billing information from the merchant involved in the payment and authentication information from the buyer. Then, if the billing information sent from the merchant does not match the ordering information extracted from the authentication information, the payment request is rejected.

On the entitlement granter machine, digital rights data relevant to the contents request is encrypted with the recipient's public key. Encrypted digital rights data with the entitlement granter's digital signature thereon is returned to recipient machine. On the recipient machine, encrypted digital rights data is decrypted with the recipient's secret key. The recipient machine sends a message containing digital rights data thus decrypted, recipient's public key, and the above encrypted data to contents distributor machine.

The remitting apparatus obtains a sum of p and x, i.e., p+x from an electronic money storage area, divides the sum into an amount y to be stored on the remitting side and an amount remained p+x−y, stores y in a transaction fee storage area, and sends p+x −y to the receiving side.
