  • Patent number: 11207968
Abstract: In a constant-speed traveling mode or a follow-up traveling mode, reduction of fuel consumption and improvement of drivability are both achieved. An ECU 110 has an ISG connected to an engine and a battery connected to the ISG. The ECU 110 has an ISG control unit 606 that performs control for supplying power to the ISG from the battery to rotationally drive the ISG, or to drive the ISG to generate power for charging the battery. In one cycle of a traveling mode until completion of deceleration traveling after acceleration traveling is started so as to achieve a target vehicle speed, the ISG control unit 606 drives the ISG such that a remaining charge amount of the battery falls within a set range at completion of the deceleration traveling, and a traveling acceleration/deceleration falls within a predetermined requested acceleration/deceleration.

  • Patent number: 10989120
Abstract: There is provided a vehicle-mounted control device that, when a restart request is generated during a time interval between the fulfillment of an engine automatic stop condition and complete stop, decreases a charging efficiency of an engine by means of at least one of a throttle valve and an intake valve to prevent an increase in the reverse rotational frequency of the engine, thereby ensuring the durability of the starting device of the engine, and preventing an accelerator response from deteriorating when a restart request based on the accelerator operation is generated.

  • Publication number: 20200300194
Abstract: Misfire and torque fluctuation due to rapid combustion deterioration of an internal combustion engine can be reduced. An ECU of an engine which burns fuel in a cylinder includes a determination unit which determines a target air-fuel ratio of the engine on the basis of a variation in crank angle in a relatively small number of combustion cycles, or a difference in indicated average effective pressure from a previous combustion cycle, and an air-fuel ratio control unit which controls the air-fuel ratio of the engine to be the target air-fuel ratio determined by the determination unit. The determination unit shifts the target air-fuel ratio to a rich side when the variation exceeds a first setting value or when the difference exceeds a second setting value.

  • Patent number: 9422904
Abstract: Vehicle engine starting apparatus of automatically restarting an engine by quickly responding to a subsequent engine restart request even if engagement of a pinion gear with a ring gear is failed in the process of a stop of the engine. Pinion gear is displaced such that the pinion gear is engaged with the ring gear at a timing (when rotation speed of the pinion gear and rotation speed of the engine are nearly synchronized with each other with a signal from a control device when a predetermined condition is met. Where an engagement sensor has transmitted a signal “H” indicating engagement failure, when restart of the engine becomes necessary, the pinion gear is displaced toward a ring gear side by the control device.

  • Patent number: 8688359
Abstract: There is provided an idle stop system that can more quickly restart with small noise in conducting idle stop. In preparation for a restart request during an engine inertial rotation, after a motor is rotated in a state where a starter motor is not coupled to the engine, a pinion is engaged with a ring gear during the motor is subjected to inertial rotation like the engine. In this situation, the rotational speed including future pulsation of the engine is estimated with the use of information on the crank angle, and a pinion pushing timing is controlled so that the pinion and the ring gear contact each other with a given rotational speed difference taking a delay time of a pinion pushing unit into consideration.
