  • Patent number: 4478545
Abstract: A fastening device of synthetic resin comprises a male member provided on its shaft portion with screw threads and a female member having at least one pitch of spiral thread on the inside surface of the bore thereof. A plurality of apertured panels are positively fastened face to face by inserting the leg of the female member into apertures of the panels and subsequently, forcing the shaft portion of the male member into the bore of the female member. The panels thus fastened can be separated by rotating the male member so as to threadably extract the male member from the female member.

  • Patent number: 4436273
Abstract: A fastening means for a rearview mirror in an automobile interior, which comprises a fastening base formed on the supporting arm of the rearview mirror and a fitting member for securing the fastening base on the automobile body by using a setscrew. The fitting member is provided with a flange-shaped engaging portion having thin-walled portions which is readily broken under an impact which is caused by colliding a human body into the rearview mirror in case of an accidental sudden deceleration of the automobile for example, thereby to permit the mirror to fall off the automobile body.

  • Patent number: 4422222
Abstract: A fastener for detachably fastening first and second workpieces together is disclosed. The first workpiece has a through aperture of predetermined shape. The second workpiece has a through aperture of predetermined shape which includes a first small diameter portion having first opposed edges spaced apart a first predetermined distance and a second annularly displaced portion having second opposed edges spaced apart a second, relatively larger predetermined distance. The fastener comprises a base, a first catch portion integral with and extending outwardly from a first side of the base, a second catch portion integral with and extending outwardly from the base oppositely from the first catch portion, and a twistable stem integral with the base for enabling at least one of the first and second catch portions to be twisted for angularly spacing such catch portion for disengagement of the fastener from the aperture of at least one of the first and second workpieces with which such catch portion is engaged.

  • Patent number: 4367995
Abstract: A fastening device of synthetic resin includes a male member and a female member. The device is capable of fastening objects by simply axially forcing the male member into the female member whereby external threads of the male member threadably engage with internal threads of the female member. In order to unfasten the device, the male member is rotated in an appropriate direction whereby the male member threadably disengages with the female member causing the male member to axially disengage with the female member.

  • Patent number: 4358081
Abstract: A bundling fastener for bars or wires comprises a bundling member and a fastener member serving to attach the bundling member to a support. Owing to the use of a press-on and split-off type fastener as the bundling member, the bundling fastener provides perfect bundling of bars or wires even when the total bundle diameter or the number of bars or wires is varied.
