  • Publication number: 20100307814
Abstract: An electric connection box for an automobile effectively prevents entry of water into the box and allows water entered the box to be easily discharged. The electric connection box has a base block (11) having a component-mounting surface (20) on which electric components such as relays (30) are mounted, and also has an upper cover (10) for covering the electric components. The component-mounting surface (20) is located above the lower end of a peripheral section (34) of the upper cover (10). On the outer periphery of the base block (11) is formed a first peripheral wall (31) fitting to the peripheral section (34) of the upper cover (10). The first peripheral wall (31) is located inside the peripheral section (34) of the upper cover (10). The upper end of the first peripheral wall (31) is located above the lower end of the peripheral section (34) of the upper cover (10). The component-mounting surface (20) is located above the upper end of the first peripheral wall (31).

  • Patent number: 6433281
Abstract: A bus-bar wiring board of the present invention comprises a bus-bar pattern for electric wiring formed to a predetermined shape and a bus-bar piece formed as a separate piece from the bus-bar pattern and electrically connected and secured to the bus-bar pattern. The pattern and the piece preferably are sheet metal. The pattern is bordered by a rectangular outline with a vacant space, and the piece is congruent with the vacant space. The pattern and the piece preferably are fastened by an interfitted projection and recess. The fastened combination extends outside of the outline.

  • Publication number: 20010012736
Abstract: A bus-bar wiring board of the present invention comprises a bus-bar pattern for electric wiring formed to a predetermined shape and a bus-bar piece formed as a separate piece from the bus-bar pattern and electrically connected and secured to the bus-bar pattern. Further, a method of producing a bus-bar wiring board of the present invention comprises a bus-bar pattern punching step for punching out a bus-bar pattern for electric wiring laid out to a predetermined shape from a conductive metal sheet, a bus-bar piece punching step for punching out a bus-bar piece laid out to a predetermined shape at the remaining space of the conductive metal sheet, and a connecting step for electrically connecting and securing the bus-bar pattern punched out in the bus-bar pattern punching step and the bus-bar piece punched out in the bus-bar piece punching step. Due to this, it is possible to reduce scrap of a conductive metal sheet from which the bus-bar pattern is punched and reduce the production cost or product cost.

  • Patent number: 5980306
Abstract: An electrical connection box has electronic components mounted therein and includes a heat pipe for radiating heat generated from the electronic components to the outside. The heat pipe has a heat absorbing portion inside the connection box and a heat radiating portion outside the connection box. The heat pipe is formed of an electrically conductive material, and an electrically conductive heat collecting member is provided for collecting the heat generated from the electronic components. The heat absorbing portion of the heat pipe is connected to the heat collecting member, and a grounding current is supplied to the heat pipe and the heat collecting member.

  • Patent number: 5766045
Abstract: A female-type terminal unit provided with an insertion portion for insertion of a male-type terminal at one end and a conductor connection portion for connecting with a conductor at the other end. A male-type terminal insertion portion is formed by facing plate-shaped terminal pieces. At the base side of the plate-shaped terminal pieces is provided a stopper piece for stopping the spread of the two plate-shaped terminal pieces when a male-type terminal is press-fit there. The two facing plate-shaped terminal pieces will not plastically deform due to twisting by the male-type terminal. Further, the stopper piece prevents the plate-shaped terminal pieces from excessively spreading apart.
