  • Patent number: 6839461
Abstract: An image processing system which processes an image including a plurality of object images. Object images related to each other are detected, and are then image processed. Drawing commands indicating the respective object images are input and a determination is made as to whether the plurality of object images are related to each other, on the basis of position information managed by rectangular areas according to the respective drawing commands. Position information managed by the rectangular areas of object images which have been determined as being related to each other are combined to generate object image management information. An image processing condition is set in accordance with the object image management information. Combining of the position information is controlled such that a rectangular area associated with position information created as a result of the combining does not include a large unnecessary area.

  • Publication number: 20040105114
Abstract: In order to reduce the total time needed to print data produced by application software, producing of data and printing of the data are performed in parallel. In the parallel processing mode, the application software outputs data part by part in the same order as the order in which the data is printed by a printer on printing paper in a printing direction, that is, in a direction from the top to the bottom of the page. A printer driver declares to an OS (Operating System) that the OS should perform processing in an unbanding mode, and banding is performed by the printer driver. In the parallel processing mode, data of an area is printed when data of a next area is being scanned, and thus the total time from the start of a copying process to the end of printing is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20040105102
Abstract: When draw data that has been created by an application program is spooled, whether the resolution of the draw data is to be lowered is decided. If it is decided that the resolution of the draw data is to be lowered, printer information in which the resolution of print data to be spooled has been lowered is returned and spooling is performed at the lowered resolution. The draw data thus spooled is rasterized into a raster image at a resolution that conforms to the resolution of an image forming device, and the raster image that has been rasterized is output to a printer to thereby form an image.

  • Publication number: 20030103227
Abstract: A printing system is capable of displaying a preview of an image with a low resolution without causing degradation in performance and affinity for an operating system. When previewing is performed, preview printer information corresponding to the low resolution is set as printer information in a printer graphics driver by a print processor. The printer graphics driver produces a preview file by converting (rasterizing) an EMF spool file into low-resolution data. The resultant preview file is displayed as a print image on a display by a previewer.

  • Publication number: 20030028795
Abstract: A network system capable of positively preventing information (content) having copyright from being outputted unfairly is provided. In an information processing apparatus in which a content managed at a content managing side is acquired via communication and the acquired content is printed and outputted, storing means stores information regarding the number of outputtable prints of the content. Output means effects print output of the content on the basis of the information stored in the storing means.

  • Publication number: 20010035967
Abstract: A method that quickly corrects an image without inputting more than a required number of rendering instructions. Input image that contains a plurality of objects, and rendering command statements that specify rendering of the plurality of objects are input and analyzed in order to identify the types of objects. If a specific type of object is identified through the identification, a rendering command statement that specifies rendering of the specific type of object is re-input in order to correct the specific type of object. If the specific type of object is not identified through the identification, a rendering command statement needed for execution of image correction is not re-input.

  • Publication number: 20010010733
Abstract: There is disclosed an image processing apparatus comprises in order to judge an image prohibited by law from being printed at high speed, a judgment unit for judging for each predetermined area whether or not an output requested image includes information indicating that the image is a judgment object image; and a determination unit for determining the predetermined area for each predetermined distance with respect to the output requested image.
