  • Patent number: 7433493
Abstract: A technique for detecting an abnormal behavior by monitoring moving objects such as human being and a car. The place where the abnormal behavior of the moving objects occurs is deduced from the position of the moving object and the direction in which the moving object moves and presented to the car. An abnormal detector comprises means for determining the position of the moving object and the direction in which the moving object moves, means for determining the place where an abnormal incident causing an abnormal behavior of the moving object occurs on the basis of the determined position and direction, and means for displaying the place where the abnormal incident occurs. Therefore it is possible to immediately know the cause of the abnormal behavior of the moving object from the video information collected by observation monitoring moving objects such as a human being and a car.

  • Publication number: 20030135387
Abstract: A transmitter-receiver 11 accepts delinquency information indicating a delinquent situation of a repairing reserve to be paid by a comparted owner of an apartment house from a financial institution terminal 3. On the basis of the delinquency information, a delinquency rate forecasting unit 21 forecasts an average delinquency rate and its standard deviation. A marginal stress searching unit 20 calculates a cumulative reserve and calculates a marginal stress under a constraint that a cumulative reserve is not below an expenditure. A less marginal probability calculating unit 21 calculates a probability of the marginal stress or less. A permissible risk checking unit 18 checks whether or not its probability is within a tolerance range, and a revised amount calculating unit 17 revises a repairing reserve amount if the probability is beyond the tolerance range.

  • Publication number: 20030009364
Abstract: Since it is not possible to automatically determine the appropriateness of a layout at present, there has been a problem in that it is impossible to change the layout of the facility at an appropriate timing. To solve this problem, the appropriateness a facility is judged based on a movement cost calculated using an automatically measured flow line of a moving body. In order to attain such a result, flow line-measuring is carried out for measuring the flow line of a moving body by detecting the moving body as an object to be monitored; movement cost-calculating is carried out for calculating a cost expended on movement of the moving body derived from low line information; and movement cost-evaluating is carried out for judging whether or not a cost calculated by the movement cost-calculating process is within a permissible range.

  • Publication number: 20030009363
Abstract: Even if a layout of a facility is appropriate in the beginning, the layout may gradually become inappropriate with the passage of time. However, since the conventional technologies can not automatically grasp the appropriateness of layout at present, there has been a problem that it is impossible to change the layout of the facility at an appropriate timing.

  • Publication number: 20020178040
Abstract: It is difficult for the facility owner to decide a most suitable combination from many maintenance companies by himself. Further, it is difficult to evaluate maintenance services only by price. In order to solve the above problem, when the facility manager is entrusted with management of the facilities from the facility owner, he analyzes the service characteristics of the facility maintenance companies, prepares combinations of maintenance companies having a same service trend, and indicates maintenance information of the facilities and an evaluated value on the basis of opinions of users and the facility companies select maintenance services of facility management from the combinations by referring to the evaluated value. In this case, the service evaluated value on the basis of the maintenance information of the facilities and users' opinions is also indicated at the same time.

  • Patent number: 6075539
Abstract: A geometric object display method and apparatus and a computer-readable storage medium storing a geometric object display process program, capable of displaying the image of a composite geometric object such that the outline of the object can be grasped by the user at an earlier stage. Composite geometric element data input from an input unit is divided into a plurality of geometric element data sets of each part by a sub-grouping unit of a computing unit. The display sequence of the sub-grouped geometric element data is scheduled by a sequence scheduling unit, and the sequenced geometric element data is output by an output unit such as a display device. The outline of a composite geometric object can be grasped at an earlier stage when only a fraction of geometric element data is displayed.

  • Patent number: 5717848
Abstract: There are provided apparatuses for generating the motion path of an object. One apparatus includes an input unit for inputting information representative of the position of a start point of the motion of an object, at least one of the magnitude and direction of a velocity at the start point, an end point of the motion of the object, and at least one of the magnitude and direction of a velocity at the end point, and a calculation unit for calculating a motion path from the start point to the end point, in accordance with the information inputted to the input unit. As an alternative of the position and velocity of an object, the rotary angle and angular velocity of an object may be used to represent the facing direction of the object.

  • Patent number: 5682505
Abstract: In order to generate an image, modelling data representing image features of the image are stored in a data base, and first characteristics, such as colors, are stored in another data base. An analyzer unit is then able to assign the first characteristics to the image features in an objective way. Subjective properties, e.g. `darker`, `lighter`, are also defined over a range for the image features and a user interface permits a user to select an appropriate value of the subjective property within the range, thereby to generate a second characteristic on the basis of rules relating to the subjective properties stored in a data base. An interpreter unit then modifies the first characteristic on the basis of the second characteristic before the selected image features are rendered into an image by a rendering unit for display by a display unit.

  • Patent number: 5404426
Abstract: Hair models of human or, animal hairs are displayed on a display screen using a three-dimensional computer graphics technique. Each human hair model is constructed of a plurality of rod-shaped hair elements. The magnitude and direction of an external force applied to each hair element are designated. A deformation quantity of each hair element is obtained such that the external force having the designated magnitude and direction equilibrates with an internal force generated by the rigidity of each hair element. The shape of each hair model is determined in accordance with obtained deformation quantities, for display of the shape of each hair model. The hair model can be displayed man-machine interactively.

  • Patent number: 4982438
Abstract: A three-dimensional shape of an object is recognized by developing enveloping surfaces of the object by a cone-silhouetting method, wherein the object is picked up by a binocular three-dimensional vision method by making use of geometrical restraint conditions derived by the cone-silhouetting method. The binocular parallax is increased to thereby ensure the recognition of the three-dimensional shape with improved accuracy. Local concave portions which can not be recognized by the cone-silhouetting method by itself are recognized with higher accuracy.
