  • Patent number: 6296376
Abstract: An LED lamp includes a first optical member and a second optical member. The first optical member is for providing light from an LED chip, provided with at least one of a concave mirror and a dome lens, at an appropriate illumination angle. The second optical member is a lens positioned to receive light from the first optical part via an air layer. At least one surface of the second optical member is a prismatically cut surface.

  • Patent number: 6244732
Abstract: There is provided a lamp composed of a light source, a tilted ellipsoidal rotation surface reflector, and an annular cylindrical lens. The tilted ellipsoidal rotation surface reflector is formed of an ellipsoidal rotation surface emerging when an ellipsoid, having a first focal line located on the center axis of the light source and adjacent the light source and a second focal point located on an oblique line passing through the first focal point and tilted appropriately from the light-source center axis and assumed on a plane containing the light-source center axis and the oblique line, is rotated around the light-source center axis. The annular cylindrical lens is obtained by rotating, around the light-source center axis, the cross-sectional configuration of an aspheric lens having a focal point adjacent the second focal point of the ellipsoid and having an optical axis nearly parallel to the light-source center axis.

  • Patent number: 6244731
Abstract: A lamp is composed of a light source, a composite reflector consisting of a plurality of reflecting surface units, and aspheric lenses provided to correspond to the individual reflecting surface units. The composite reflector includes a first and a second reflecting surface units. Each of the first reflecting surface units is formed of a reflecting surface configuration obtained by cutting, radially around a center axis of the light source, a portion from a spheroid having a first focal point located on the center axis and adjacent the light source and a second focal point located on a line passing through the first focal point and tilted appropriately from the center axis such that the cut portion spans a range of 15° to 90° around the center axis. Each of the second reflecting surface units is composed of a second reflecting surface configuration obtained by similarly cutting a portion from a spheroid having a second focal point located external to the first reflecting surface configuration.

  • Patent number: 6152589
Abstract: There is provided a lamp comprising a light source, a horizontal double ellipsoidal reflector composed of two reflecting surface units joined horizontally in opposing relation to each other and each formed from a spheroid, and aspheric lenses. Each of the two reflecting surface units is formed by cutting, radially around the center axis of the light source, a portion from the spheroid having a first focal point located on the center axis and adjacent the light source and a second focal point located on a line passing through the first focal point and tilted appropriately from the light-source center axis such that the cut portion spans, around the center axis, a range of 5.degree. to 9.degree. in either vertical direction from a horizontal line. The aspheric lenses are provided horizontally to correspond to the respective second focal points of the reflecting surface units of the ellipsoidal reflector and converge reflected light beams from the respective reflecting surface units.

  • Patent number: 6109772
Abstract: A lamp including a light source, a petaline reflector, and aspheric lenses. The petaline reflector is formed of a plurality of reflecting surface units combined radially around the center axis of the light source. Each of the reflecting surface units is obtained by cutting, radially around the center axis, a portion from a spheroid having a first focal point located on the center axis and adjacent the light source and a second focal point located on a line passing through the first focal point and tilted appropriately from the center axis such that the cut portion spans a range of 15.degree. to 60.degree. around the center axis. The aspheric lenses are disposed to correspond to the respective second focal points of the reflecting surface units of the petaline reflector and converge reflected light beams from the respective reflecting surface units. Shades for forming a light distribution pattern are disposed at the respective near-focal points of the aspheric lenses.

  • Patent number: 6050707
Abstract: An rectangularly shaped illumination area utilizing an LED device having a high utilization efficiency in light flux and having an economical manufacturing cost is attained. Herein a light flux emitted from an LED chip 1 and then reflected by reflective surfaces of a horn 11 toward a lens 12 is concentrated into corner FIGS. 14 located in diagonal directions of the rectangular shape 4 while another light flux emitted from the LED chip 1 and directly incident to the lens 12 is focused by the lens on an area having an elliptic FIG. 13, which is inscribed in the rectangle area 4.

  • Patent number: 4692036
Abstract: A roller bearing for endless linear motion is composed of a long size track rail having a track groove on its outer face, a slide unit having an endless circuit including a track groove, said slide unit being mounted on the rail; and rollers being arranged in cross-roller mode for the endless linear motion. The circulation path for the roller is constructed by track grooves, return path and direction changing paths. The track groove and return path are straight and parallel to each other, and the direction changing path connects the track groove and the return path at respective ends. A slightly inclined clearance groove is provided on the both ends of the track groove on the side of the slide unit, and its angle is formed greater than the angle of the track groove. The boundary line between the track groove and the clearance groove is V-shaped, seen from the end face of the track rail, and the apex of the V-shape points to the side of the clearance groove.
