Abstract: A help display device of the present invention includes: a display portion that displays a help message; an operation portion that accepts an instruction for displaying a predetermined help message; a message storage portion that stores identical help messages expressed in a plurality of languages; a display order retention portion that retains a display order of the help messages expressed in a plurality of languages; a message generation portion that, in a case where the operation portion accepts the instruction for displaying a help message on the display, reads the help message corresponding to the instruction from the message storage portion and generates a multilingual help message by arranging the help messages of each language thus read in the display order retained in the display order retention portion; and a display control portion that displays the multilingual help message on the display portion by the message generation portion.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a display unit that displays an image; a web browser that causes the display unit to display thereon a web page; and an operation setting unit that receives from a user and stores an input of operation settings relating to the operation of the image forming apparatus, and of web page display settings relating to web page display control by the web browser. Upon launching of the web browser, the operation setting unit outputs the web page display settings to the web browser. The web browser displays the web page on the display unit according to the web page display settings.
