  • Patent number: 5277101
Abstract: The rodless cylinder includes at least a cylinder tube and a piston, but it has no piston rod that is indispensable in the conventional cylinders. The article carrier is connected via the piston yoke to the piston and movable with parts and jigs placed thereon as the piston moves along the cylinder. At least one rod is fixed relative to the cylinder tube to extend in parallel with the direction in which the piston and hence the carrier moves. The sensor is provided to be movable along the rod as the piston moves. The sensor has a moving member movable along the rod as the piston moves within the cylinder tube, for detecting a current position of the piston in accordance with relative positional relation between the moving member and the rod. With such arrangements, the rodless cylinder as a whole has a higher rigidity against heavy load, and also the piston can be accurately positioned to stop at a desired position in its stroke.

  • Patent number: 4784191
Abstract: A device for storing a weft yarn for inserting in a jet loom, which is provided with a weft yarn retaining surface, is movable relative to a feed nozzle, for receiving a weft yarn ejected from the feed nozzle. The device is characterized in that a blacking member is arranged in such a manner that one end of the member is engaged with the weft yarn retaining surface at a depositing zone adjacent to the feed nozzle so as to block the fluid from the nozzle as would otherwise disturb the yarn deposited on the retaining surface. A gap is formed between the weft yarn retaining surface and the cover, which gap increases as a position moves away from the depositing zone towards the side where the stored weft yarn is withdrawn.

  • Patent number: 4442871
Abstract: A weft yarn guide of an air jet loom comprises a base portion capable of being connected to a sley, a pair of guide members which are connected to the upper end of the base portion and which are forked to form a weft inserting opening therebetween, a base fluid passage formed within the base portion, and a plurality of fluid blowing holes formed on the upper portions of the guide members and communicated with the base fluid passage. The weft yarn guide further comprises a branching wall projected from the upper inner wall of the base fluid passage in order to branch air flow fed from the base passage into two flows, and a pair of branch passages formed within the guide members in order to communicate the base fluid passage with the fluid blowing holes, whereby the air flow is smoothly branched without causing substantial turbulence.

  • Patent number: 4398569
Abstract: A device for supporting a heald frame in a weaving loom comprises: a bracket which is fixed on the heald frame; and a hanger which is connected to a spring for supporting the heald frame or to a wire rope and which is coupled to the bracket. The bracket or the hanger has a cylindrical supporting shaft projecting therefrom, and the corresponding hanger or bracket has an engaging hole formed therein. The bracket and the hanger are turnably engaged with each other. At least one engaging projection is formed at the periphery of the hanger or bracket, and at least one U-shaped abutting projection having an engaging space is formed at the corresponding periphery of the bracket or hanger. The engaging projection is inserted into the engaging space, and the hanger is securely held by the bracket.

  • Patent number: 4387743
Abstract: An apparatus for regulating tension in warps of a weaving machine comprising: a tension lever swingably supported on a weaving machine and having a roller supported thereon for regulating the tension in warps delivered from a warp beam; a weight lever swingably supported on the weaving machine and having a load at one end thereof; and a link operatively connecting the tension lever and the weight lever. The tension lever has an elongated hole formed thereon, and the lever ratio of the tension lever is changed by moving the link along the elongated hole. The apparatus further includes a support member having two pairs of guide rollers and being connected to the link, so that the relative movement between the link and the tension lever can smoothly be carried out.

  • Patent number: 4337801
Abstract: A device for shedding warp yarns in a weaving loom, such as a jet loom, comprises: cranks supported on machine frames of the loom rotatable in synchronization with the weaving operation of the loom; synchronizing levers swingably pivoted; connecting rods connecting the cranks with synchronizing levers so that the rotational movement of the cranks is transmitted as a swinging motion of the synchronizing levers; synchronizing links linked with the synchronizing levers; rocking levers linked with the synchronizing links so that the rotational movement of the cranks is transmitted as a swinging motion of the rocking levers through the swinging motion of the synchronizing levers; and heddle frames, for the upper and lower warp yarns, operated by the rocking levers.

  • Patent number: 4314590
Abstract: Generally, a weft guiding comb according to this invention consists of a root portion, an annular portion integrally connected to the upper end of the root portion and forming an aperture with a slit, a fluid passage formed in each of said root and annular portions to allow a flow of fluid to flow therethrough, and a fluid outlet or outlets arranged around the periphery of the aperture for discharging the flow of fluid passed through said fluid passages. At least said annular portion is composed of two members each extending in the radial direction of the aperture and cooperating with each other to form said fluid passage and said fluid outlet or outlets.

  • Patent number: 4304269
Abstract: Generally, a weft guiding comb for a jet loom constructed in accordance with this invention comprises a root portion, an annular portion integrally connected to the upper end of the root portion and forming an aperture with a slit to allow a weft yarn passed through the aperture to come out of the latter, a fluid passage formed in each of said root and annular portions to allow a flow of fluid to flow therethrough, and a fluid outlet or outlets arranged around the periphery of the aperture for discharging the flow of fluid passed through the fluid passages. The weft guiding comb further comprises a relatively long and narrow fluid path or paths disposed between the fluid passage formed in the annular portion and the fluid outlet or outlets for orienting the flow of fluid, passed through said fluid passage in said annular portion, in a predetermined direction.
