  • Publication number: 20080089668
Abstract: A video/audio recording apparatus comprises an audio encoding section 101 and a video encoding section 102 for encoding an audio signal or a video signal which is video/audio broadcast and input, and a code multiplexing section 103 for multiplexing the encoded audio signal and video signal. Based on an audio signal before encoding, the audio encoding section 101 detects the presence of a silent portion or extracts a feature amount, such as an amplitude level, a frequency spectrum or the like, of the audio signal. The result of the extraction is buried in a fixed value area of a header of a packet generated by encoding. Therefore, a correspondence relationship between a feature amount or the like extracted from a video/audio signal and the video/audio signal can be easily established without information or a process for the correspondence.

  • Patent number: 5193987
Abstract: A scroll type compressor has a pair of bypass ports which communicate with a chamber being compressed which ports are bored in an end plate of a stationary scroll. An inner surface of a capacity control block of the compressor is separate from the stationary scroll and abuts against the outer surface of the end plate of the stationary scroll, thus forming a recessed portion which communicates with the pair of bypass ports therebetween. One cylinder of the compressor communicates with a suction chamber in a housing and is provided in the capacity control block and a piston operating by a control pressure in accordance with a load of the compressor is disposed slidably in the cylinder. A communicaton hole which communicates with the recessed chamber is opened and closed by the piston, thereby controlling the output capacity of the compressor in the range from 0 to 100%.

  • Patent number: 4650070
Abstract: A toner cartridge for use in replenishing additional toner to a toner storing section of an imaging machine, such as an electrophotographic copier, which uses toner to produce a visible image is provided. The present toner cartridge includes a trough-shaped container having an opening, a cover which is large enough to encompass the opening and supported to be slidably movable with respect to the container between a closed position to close the opening and an open position to open the opening, and a seal member having one end fixed to the container and another end fixed to the cover. Thus, when the cover is moved from the closed position to the open position, the seal member is partly separated away from the container to make the opening half-open. Then, the seal member is pulled to completely open the opening to have the toner completely discharged from the container. Thereafter, the cover is returned to the closed position to close the opening.
