  • Patent number: 8070940
Abstract: A filter element is formed from a filter material configured to capture a foreign substance in fuel. A lower case is attachable to and detachable from a bottom portion of a housing in a movable direction. The housing and the lower case are configured to accommodate the filter element. The filter element defines a passage extending through the filter element in the movable direction. The passage is configured to accommodate the component. The component is configured to be attached to and detached from the housing together with the lower case when the lower case is attached to and detached from the housing.

  • Patent number: 7793642
Abstract: In a fuel supply apparatus, a fuel pump draws fuel from a fuel tank, and discharges the fuel to a high-pressure fuel system. A filter unit has a filter element located on a downstream side of the fuel pump to remove foreign matters contained in the fuel discharged from the fuel pump. A jet pump has a nozzle that is installed in a fuel supply passage between the fuel pump and the filter element. The nozzle injects the fuel to a downstream side of the nozzle in the fuel supply passage. The introducing passage introduces excessive fuel from the high-pressure fuel system to the downstream side of the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5759392
Abstract: The fixing apparatus for fixing a fuel filter in the present invention comprises a ring portion for fixing fuel filter body securely by utilizing contraction force of resin. The fixing apparatus is made of resin softened by heat. The resin fixing apparatus has ring portion for accommodating and fixing a fuel filter. The inside shape of the ring portion is formed similar and somewhat smaller than the outer cylindrical shape of the fuel filter body. When the ring portion is heated and the resin and resin become flexible, the fuel filter is allowed to be press fitted into the ring portion.
