  • Patent number: 6183003
Abstract: An airbag of an airbag device has a primary hole for receiving an inflator and a secondary hole for receiving a securing device which secures the inflator to a base plate. A section surrounding the secondary hole is sandwiched between the inflator put in the airbag and the base plate. Therefore, the section of the airbag sandwiched between the inflator and the base plate can be enlarged and thus a high securing strength of the airbag can be acquired. The primary hole can comprise a vent hole that is used to discharge the gas from the inflator to the outside of the airbag. This structure need not make the vent hole separately. Therefore, the airbag is made simple and the production cost thereof becomes lower.

  • Patent number: 6164171
Abstract: A screwdriver used for a screw tightener includes at its tip portion a blade having a plurality of flat plate portions to be meshed in a recess formed in a head of a screw. In this screwdriver, each of the flat plate portions has at its tip portion an outer peripheral surface which extends in such a manner as to be converged in the direction toward the tip portion of the screwdriver. The outer peripheral surface of the flat plate portion is formed into an angled shape having a ridge line portion extending in the direction toward the tip portion of the screwdriver.

  • Patent number: 6102723
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrical card connector (hereinafter referred to as "connector") which is used for a card C such as an IC card. The invention proposes a structure in which scratches are not formed on the surface of the card when the card C is inserted into the connector or when the card C is ejected from the connector. The connector has a body, a slider, and a cover. The slider is disposed so as to be slidable. The connector has a contact position regulating mechanism which, when the slider is in an initial position, retracts a contact to the outside of a card insertion space S1 and, when the slider reaches a pushed-in position, causes the contact to protrude into the card insertion space S1. When the slider is in the initial position, the contact position regulating mechanism causes the contact to be retracted to the outside of the card insertion space.

  • Patent number: 5991998
Abstract: The present invention supplies a drilling screw which can fix a gypsum board to a thin steel plate by utilizing an impact-type air driven screw fastener and execution method for fixing efficiently the gypsum board to the thin steel plate. The drilling screw 11 comprising the parallel thread part 13 and the smaller diameter parallel thread part 15 which are connected through the taper thread part 14. The height of thread crest of the smaller diameter parallel thread part 15 is as small as about 0.1 mm. The taper bit 16 is formed at the fore end of the smaller diameter parallel thread part 15. When the drilling screw 11 is hammered into the gypsum board and the C-type steel plate structural material with the impact-type air driven screw fastener, the smaller diameter parallel thread part 15 is inserted through the steel plate. Since the smaller diameter parallel thread part 15 has so small diameter, the steel plate is seldom deformed.

  • Patent number: 5910980
Abstract: Information, such as a calling subscriber number, is furnished to a called subscriber, regardless of the type of subscriber terminal that is accommodated by an access network, which is provided independent of a local exchange, and regardless of whether a connection is a wireless connection or a wire connection. A calling subscriber information notification system includes a local exchange, and an access network, located independent of the local exchange, for accommodating a plurality of subscriber terminals. When a call is made by one of the subscriber terminals, the access network receives, from the local exchange, a signal message including information concerning a calling subscriber terminal, and when a called subscriber has been registered for a called number notification service sends to the called subscriber, the information concerning the calling subscriber terminal that has been received from the local exchange.

  • Patent number: 5761414
Abstract: According to the method of the present invention for detecting errors in executing a program including a main routine and an interrupt routine in a microprocessor, execution errors can be detected irrespective of whether it occurred in a main routine or an interrupt routine. A cancel code for a watchdog timer is entered in the variable value data DT in the main routine, and a count value TC of a watchdog canceling timer is incremented by one in the interrupt routine. If the count value TC has reached a prescribed value, the value of the data DT is supplied to the watchdog timer, and both the count value TC and the data DT are set to zero. In case of an execution error preventing the program flow from advancing from the main routine to the interrupt routine, the data DT is not supplied to the watchdog timer, and the watchdog time is allowed to reset the microprocessor.

  • Patent number: 5715792
Abstract: Provided is a method for controlling an advance angle of a power engine which can associate the rotational speed or be rotational period with the advance time period by using a single small look up table in a simple manner, and can be implemented by using a relatively small storage device. Because of provision of the steps of detecting a rotational period of a power engine as a binary number consisting of a first number of bits; extracting a second number of bits from the binary number, the second number being smaller than the first number; obtaining a rotational period parameter from the extracted bits or by convening the extracted bits by an arithmetic process based on the first number, the second number, and a minimum value of the rotational period of the engine; and determining an advance angle for each given rotational speed of the engine by looking up a table specifying a relationship between the rotational period parameter and the advance angle.

  • Patent number: 5425086
Abstract: In a load control system having n types of processes provided for processing requests of an identical type, a load processing unit executes one of m types of processes among the n types of processes in response to one of the processing requests where n and m are respectively integers equal to or larger than 1 and m is equal to or smaller than n. A monitor unit periodically monitors a load of the load processing unit and selects the m types of processes from among the n types of processes on the basis of the load of the load processing unit. An execution ratio calculation unit determines execution ratios of the m types of processes so that the load of the load processing unit is equal to or lower than a first reference value and an execution ratio of at least one of the types of processes is equal to or higher than a second reference value. The load processing unit executes the m types of processes in response to the processing requests with the execution ratios of the m types of processes.

  • Patent number: 5046181
Abstract: A switching system having two-way lines connected between a primary office and an opposite office for communicating through a selected one of the two-way lines, and having a control unit for selecting one of the two-way lkines to be used for communication. To reduce double hunting of a two-way line, the control means comprises an outgoing connection process controlling unit for detecting a release of a two-way line activated by the primary office, an incoming connection process controlling unit for detecting a release of a two-way line activated by the opposite office, and a two-way line managing unit for deciding the priorities for selection of a plurality of two-way lines. The two-way line managing unit provides a different priority for selection to a released two-way line depending on whether the released two-way line had been activated by the primary office or by the opposite office.

  • Patent number: 4660567
Abstract: Method and apparatus are disclosed for linearly pressurizing a cuff, affixed to the limb of a patient, with gas from a liquified gas tank, monitoring Korotkoff sounds that appear and disappear during cuff pressurization to ascertain approximate systolic and diastolic blood pressures as cuff pressurization is in process, halting pressurization at a point slightly higher than the approximate systolic blood pressure and then immediately depressurizing the cuff at a regulated rate to actually measure and determine true systolic blood pressure. Following the determination of systolic blood pressure, the cuff is depressurized at a rapid rate down to a point slightly higher than the approximate diastolic blood pressure and is then depressurized again at the regulated rate again to actually measure and determine true diastolic blood pressure.
