  • Patent number: 7106005
Abstract: When both a key insertion detecting switch (a push switch in an intelligent key system vehicle) and a buckle switch are off, a room lamp is controlled so as to be extinguished. Even when the key insertion detecting switch is off and the buckle switch is on, the room lamp is controlled so as to be extinguished. When the key insertion detecting switch is off and the buckle switch changes from on to off, the room lamp is lit, and a timer incorporated within a CPU starts counting. When a predetermined time period has elapsed, the room lamp is automatically extinguished.

  • Patent number: 6940244
Abstract: An apparatus, which engages wiper blades in operation by interlocking with an operation of a washer switch, drives the wiper blades at a high speed if the vehicle speed during the wiper blade operation is equal to or higher than a predetermined value. As a result, the washer fluid sprayed onto the windshield can be wiped away immediately when the vehicle is traveling at a high speed.

  • Patent number: 6803749
Abstract: A power supply system includes: a high voltage power supply; a main power supply wire; a step down circuit inputting a power having a high voltage and outputting a power having a lowered voltage; a sub-power supply wire; a voltage sensor for sensing a voltage of the power outputted from the step down circuit; a sub-switching element disposed on the sub-power supply wire; and a controller for controlling the sub-switching element. The controller turns off the sub-switching element, when the voltage sensed with the voltage sensor is equal to or higher than a first predetermined voltage defined lower than the lowered voltage. Moreover, the controller drives the sub-switching element in duty control for stepping down the power having the high voltage to the power having the lowered voltage outputted from the step down circuit, when the voltage sensed with the voltage sensor is lower than the first predetermined voltage.

  • Patent number: 6321176
Abstract: A pitch angle calculating device includes height detecting units arranged in front and rear positions of the vehicle for detecting front and rear vehicle heights and a calculating section for calculating a pitch angle of the vehicle by the vehicle heights and a distance between the front position and the rear position. In the device, the pitch angle is divided into a plurality of pitch angle ranges &thgr;0˜&thgr;1, &thgr;1˜&thgr;2, &thgr;3˜&thgr;4, . . . , the calculating section integrates periods residing in each pitch angle range and subsequently determines the pitch angle of the vehicle on a basis of the integrated periods referred as “residence time”. With the calculation, it is possible to avoid instantaneous changes in pitch angle due to the vehicle's getting over irregularities and obstacles on a road.

  • Patent number: 5760701
Abstract: A keyless entry system for use with a mobile transmitter for transmitting an ID code specified therefor along with a command for vehicle door lock/unlock remote control to a control unit. The control unit is operable in an ID code registration mode for registering an ID code transmitted from the mobile transmitter. The transmitted ID code is compared with the registered ID code to permit the remote control specified by the transmitted command when the transmitted ID code is identical with the registered ID code. Upon completion of a first predetermined procedure including a plurality of sequential events of at least one first movable vehicle member provided on the vehicle, a second movable vehicle member is changed from a first position to a second position.

  • Patent number: 5442257
Abstract: A discharge lamp lighting device comprises a failure diagnostic circuit for diagnosing failure of a discharge lamp and a lighting circuit. The failure diagnostic circuit diagnoses failure of the discharge lamp and an external wiring from the lighting circuit to the discharge lamp, and diagnoses the lighting circuit if failure of the discharge lamp and the external wiring fails to be found.
