  • Patent number: 8479274
Abstract: Provided is a personal verification device capable of easily performing personal verification of a user. In the device, under the condition that a user grasps a case (110) of a game controller (10), a vibration control unit (152) causes a vibration motor (120) arranged inside of the case (110) to vibrate in different patterns. A triaxial acceleration sensor (140) detects vibration generated by the vibration motor (120) which vibrates in the different patterns, and a storage unit (153) stores a plurality of pieces of measurement data obtained by the detection for each of the users. A determination unit (154) performs the personal verification by comparing and collating the data in the storage unit (153) with the measurement data obtained by vibrating the vibration motor (120) under the condition that the user grasps the case (110).

  • Patent number: 5974010
Abstract: In an optical pickup, the sum signal -V.sub.MAIN of the light receiving sections A, B, C and D of a main photo diode is applied to an inversion amplifier Amp9, and the sum signal V.sub.MAIN is applied to a data processor section and a mirror signal arithmetic section. An inversion amplifier Amp10, on the side of sub photo diodes, receives the sum of the sum signal -V.sub.SUB E and a corrected signal C*V.sub.MAIN which is obtained by adjusting the sum signal V.sub.MAIN of the main photo diode with a variable resistor VR1. The output of the inversion amplifier Amp10 becomes a regular sub beam receiving signal V.sub.SUB which is obtained by subtracting a correcting signal whose voltage is equal to the main beam leakage signal from the sub photo diode sum signal V.sub.SUB E. The regular sub beam receiving signal is applied to the mirror signal arithmetic section.

  • Patent number: 5831959
Abstract: An improved laser control circuit in a recordable optical disk drive is disclosed. The laser control circuit includes a feeding circuit which supplies an auxiliary current into a bypass capacitor provided on a control line of a drive current switching circuit for a laser diode, so that the charge current for the bypass capacitor is increased. Therefore, the required time to start the emission of the laser beam for recording is reduced. The laser control circuit also includes a control circuit which controls the on/off state of the feeding circuit. The control circuit turns off upon detecting to the transition of the state of the drive current switching circuit to the on state, accordingly it ensure the normal operation of the laser control circuit.
