Abstract: A communicating apparatus for performing a communication through a plurality of communication channels including a control channel is constructed by a detection unit to detect a hold request and a transmission unit to transmit a channel switch command to a terminal in a waiting state by the control channel. The transmitting unit transmits the channel switch command such that the terminal waits and responds to a held communication in a state where the terminal is switched from the control channel during a holding state.

Abstract: A telephone exchange apparatus having a memory for storing the status information of extensions and outside lines. Upon reception of a predetermined setup message from an extension ISDN telephone, if there is a held line, the apparatus connects the line with the extension ISDN telephone which has transmitted the setup message. Thus an extension ISDN telephone can respond to a held call.

Abstract: A private branch exchange apparatus which encloses a plurality of external lines and a plurality of extensions including a discriminating circuit to discriminate the number of calls which are being executed and a refusing circuit to refuse a reception call when it is discriminated by the discriminating circuit that the number of calls which are being executed is equal to or larger than a predetermined value such as 1.

Abstract: A connector A includes a plurality of conductors. Each conductor consists of a contact 1, a terminal piece member 2, and a connecting conductor 3 connecting the contact 1 with the terminal piece member 2. The conductors are respectively held on a body 10 of the connector. The connecting conductors 3 are arranged in three layers in such a position relationship that can prevent them from short-circuiting each other and also can prevent a crosstalk from being produced between them. In this structure, the connecting conductors 3 are arranged in two or more levels, which makes it easier for the connector to be designed for prevention of the crosstalk when compared with a structure in which the connecting conductors 3 are arranged in one plane.

Abstract: A modular jack telephone type connector has a housing which is associated with a carrier on which metal conductors are mounted on a top surface of the carrier, a wire positioning fixture which has wire openings for inserting electrical wires and a cavity for receiving terminals of the conductors and is supported in a hole on the top carrier surface allowing the fixture to move vertically in the hole with respect to the carrier, vertical fins which are mounted on the carrier mates vertical grooves which are provided on an opposite side of the wire openings of the fixture for additional secure positioning, a lever which is pivoted at the housing, rotating toward or away from the carrier, and coupled to the fixture via an interlock mechanism in order to transmit a rotational lever motion to the vertical fixture motion.

Abstract: A device used in a multimedia communication system is formed with a transceiver unit for transmitting and receiving information signal to and from the inside of a room and a base unit adapted to be mounted to a wall of the room to detachably support the transceiver unit. The transceiver unit has a plug surface on which a plug projects, a circular wall projecting on the plug surface to surround the plug, and a guide wall projecting on the plug surface inside the circular wall and around the plug. The base unit comprises a disk member which is provided with a receptacle exposed in a receptacle surface defined on the disk member. The disk member has a diameter slightly smaller than an inner diameter of the circular wall so that the disk member can fit within the circular wall when the transceiver unit is attached to the base.

Abstract: A telephone exchange system accommodates a plurality of central office lines and a plurality of telephones and records a telephonic communication in a recording area shared by the plurality of telephones. When predetermined conditions are satisfied, the recording is played back or transferred. The shared recording area can be utilized effectively by erasing a recording after it has been transferred, and by detecting the presence of a voice during a telephonic communication and starting and stopping the recording operation based upon the results of detection. The time at which a recording has been made can be comprehended in the form of a voice when the recording is played back.

Abstract: Telephone directory data that has been stored in a telephone exchange apparatus is retrieved by a specific extension terminal to select the dial number of a party. When an ordinary extension terminal other than the specific extension terminal calls the specific extension terminal, an outgoing call is generated in the specific extension terminal on an outside line in accordance with the retrieved dial number and the ordinary extension terminal is connected to the outside line based on the dial number. Further, when a cordless telephone accommodated in an extension of the telephone exchange is designated from the specific extension terminal and the specific extension terminal retrieves and selects a dial number, the cordless telephone calls the specific extension terminal so that a call based upon the dial number can be made from the cordless telephone.

Abstract: This invention relates to a communication apparatus which avoids interruption in the operation for an outgoing call of the first party from an extension telephone apparatus. In the case where there is conflict between an incoming call from the third party and an outgoing call from the first party in a selected unoccupied communication line, a call signal is transmitted to the all open extension telephone apparatus, at the same time, an other unoccupied communication line is automatically selected for the outgoing call. Accordingly, the conflict is avoided and the incoming call needs not be responded at the first party's telephone extension when a telephone number is being inputted, however, the fact that a call from the third party has been received is signaled on all open telephone extensions and can be answered there.

Abstract: A telephone apparatus includes an extension telephone for receiving data from a card, a timepiece unit, and a control unit for alarming a coincidence between time data included in the data received from the extension telephone and time data of the timepiece unit. The control unit performs a display on the basis of display data included in the data received by the extension telephone.
