The gear has a pair of end surfaces facing each other in the tooth width direction. A first shaving step of processing the tooth surface is performed so that a processing region gradually expands from one end surface of the pair of end surfaces toward the other end surface, and a second shaving step of processing the tooth surface is performed so that a processing region gradually expands from the other end surface of the pair of end surfaces toward the one end surface.

The method includes intermittently moving a feeding part to a plurality of definitive portions defined on a structural object to definitively feed a flowable agent with a predetermined amount to each one of the definitive portions. The structural object includes a semi-finished product part with the definitive portions and a frame to be separated from the semi-finished product part. The frame includes a waste portion for the flowable agent. The waste portion has a same form as the definitive portions. The feeding part wastefully feeds the flowable agent to the waste portion with a same amount as the predetermined amount and thereafter starts the intermittently moving for the definitively feeding of the flowable agent.

    Abstract: A plane commutator is comprised of a plurality of commutator segments, a plurality of base plate and a resinous boss member. The commutators are made of sintered carbon compound and disposed to provide a plane commutator surface at an end thereof and a base portion at the other end. Each commutator segment has a projection extending from the base portion. The resinous boss member is disposed in contact with the base portion. Each base plate has an engagement hole, to which one of the projections is fitted, and a terminal portion that extends along an outer periphery of the boss member. A powder-accommodation pocket is formed around a foot of each the projection so that the projection can be shaved by a corner edge of the hole. This ensures good contact of the commutators with the metal base plates and provides a sufficient manufacturing tolerance.
