  • Publication number: 20090278869
Abstract: A one-frame interval is divided into a light field interval and a dark field interval. In the light field interval, the display data of high tones is displayed, while in the dark field interval, the display data of low tones is displayed. This divisional display makes it possible to pseudoly display the tones of the input display data. Then, in a case that the tones of the input display data is on the lower tone side, the display data of the dark field is set to the corresponding minimum tone with the minimum luminance, while in a case that the tone of the input display data is on the higher tone side, the display data of the light field is set to the corresponding maximum tone with the maximum luminance.

  • Publication number: 20080238848
Abstract: A hold-type display device reduces the blur of a moving image and makes less conspicuous the color shift caused due to different blur positions among RGB. In the case where the relative brightness of the video data of one or two of the three primary colors RGB changes from between 0 and 0.5 inclusive for the previous frame to between 0 and 0.5 inclusive for the present frame, the video image of the one or two colors is delayed by one frame and displayed.

  • Patent number: 6219020
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device of the present invention capable of enlarging and displaying to a high picture quality even when display data having a lower resolution than a liquid crystal panel is inputted is provided with storage element groups every drain line within latches of a liquid crystal driver. A portion of the storage element groups simultaneously captures display data. In doing so, the same liquid crystal apply voltage is outputted from drain lines corresponding to these storage element groups. Storage element groups corresponding to neighboring drain lines then simultaneously capture display data so as to enlarge an image in the horizontal direction. The rate of enlargement can be regulated by changing the number of storage element groups simultaneously capturing display data.

  • Patent number: 4818845
Abstract: An electric storage type water heater includes a tank having cold water introduced into the lower part thereof and an upper part connected by a hot water supply pipe to a faucet. A bubble pump arranged within an external heat insulator layer enclosing the tank includes a connection pipe connecting the upper and lower parts of the tank and forming a closed circulation loop in cooperation therewith. The connection pipe has a vertically extending intermediate pipe section closed at its lower end and having its upper end and an axially intermediate portion connected to the upper and lower parts of the tank, respectively, by upper and lower pipe sections. An electric heater associated with the intermediate pipe section heats the water therein to cause circulation through the closed loop. Check valves in the upper and lower pipe sections allow water to flow only in a direction from the lower part to the upper part of the tank.
