Abstract: A motor-driven compressor used as a compressor or high-pressure gas generator for a refrigerating cycle, in which the output torque of the electric motor for driving the compressor is controlled so as to make the output torque agree with the load torque required for performing compression in any revolutional angular position of the driving main shaft to thereby reduce revolutional torsional vibrations caused by disagreement between the load torque and the output torque.

Abstract: A torque control apparatus for enclosed compressors wherein a load torque, applied to an enclosed compressor, is detected by a position detector provided on the rotating portion of the compressor and a temperature detector provided in a refrigeration cycle. A voltage or current supplied to the compressor is controlled in accordance with the load torque to control the motor output torque of the compressor.

Abstract: A novel refrigerator control system is disclosed which comprises an inverter for driving a motor for a compressor, and a change-over device for driving the compressor directly with a commercial power supply when the compressor motor is not driven by the inverter.

Abstract: A horizontal compressor including an electric motor and a compressor element mounted in a case serving concurrently as an oil sump. The compressor element includes a cylinder, a shaft having a crank, a roller fitted to the crank for eccentric rotation along inner side surfaces of the cylinder, a vane moving in reciprocatory movement in a bore of the cylinder while abutting against the roller, two side plates located on opposite sides of the cylinder, one of the two side plates being formed with a suction port for a lubricant and the other side plate being formed with a discharge port for the lubricant, and a pump chamber defined by a back of the vane, the bore of the cylinder and the two side plates.
