  • Publication number: 20150332872
Abstract: An apparatus includes a housing that includes a hole, a tactile switch and an LED disposed within the housing, and a power button including a first molded body and a second molded body made of different types of resin. The first molded body includes a button body supported in a state movable in an axial direction, and disposed such that a front surface of the button body is exposed to the outside of the housing through the hole. The second molded body includes a light guide unit penetrating the button body, a pressing portion disposed at a position spaced away from the light guide unit and projecting toward the tactile switch from a rear surface of the button body, and a connecting portion disposed on the rear surface of the button body and connecting the light guide unit and the pressing portion with each other.

  • Publication number: 20060051144
Abstract: A scanner equipped printer includes the scanner's main body and the printer's main body. The scanner's main body has an upper portion provided with a cover having a side attached to a sheet feed tray and thus serving as an axis of pivotation to be capable of being opened and closed as desired to press downwards an original placed on the scanner. The cover is a flexible member formed for example of polypropylene. Furthermore the scanner's main body has an upper portion provided with a tray accommodating a sheet to be fed to the printer's main body. The cover and a guard member are integrally formed to prevent an object placed on the cover from falling toward the tray when the cover is opened. Thus the original can be prevented from displacing from a prescribed position when the cover is closed.

  • Patent number: 6076033
Abstract: A process for controlling a yaw moment in a vehicle by generating a braking force in one of the left and right wheels of the vehicle and by generating a driving force in the other wheel. When a vehicle is accelerated during the turning thereof, grounding loads of rear wheels are increased in order to generate a yaw moment in a direction opposite from a turning direction. However, such yaw moment can be eliminated in order to enhance the turning performance by bringing one of the hydraulic clutches into an engaged state with a torque which is proportional to a product of longitudinal and lateral accelerations. Consequently, a braking force and a driving force in inner and outer wheels during turning of the vehicle, respectively, are generated. When the vehicle is decelerated during turning thereof, grounding loads of front wheels are increased to a yaw moment in the same direction as the turning direction.

  • Patent number: 5752575
Abstract: A gearbox and two hydraulic clutches are disposed between left and right follower wheels of a vehicle. The torque transfer capacity of the hydraulic clutches is controlled to effect the distribution of a torque between the follower wheels. In a low lateral acceleration range, the torque transfer capacity is increased in accordance with an increase in lateral acceleration to enhance the turning performance and the high-speed stability performance. In a high lateral acceleration range, the torque transfer capacity is decreased in accordance with an increase in lateral acceleration, such that it does not exceed a largest frictional force of a wheel acting as an inner wheel during turning movement of the vehicle, thereby insuring a cornering force.

  • Patent number: 5594242
Abstract: A position detecting apparatus projects a light beam to form a light spot within a certain range on an object under test by means of a light source, collimator lens, pinhole plate, half-mirror, and objective lens included in it. The apparatus further includes a deflecting prism which deflects the light spot relative to the object continuously so that the light spot has a circular or ellipsoidal locus of movement on the object, and a first and second light sensors which receive a reflected light beam from the object at positions short of and ahead of the convergent position of the reflected light beam. The apparatus determines that the object is located at the reference position if the outputs of the first and second light sensors thin a certain period of spot scanning are substantially equal.

  • Patent number: 4192582
Abstract: Ophthalmometer comprising a chart projecting optical system for projecting a Landolt type inspection chart and a lens means for locating a corrective lens in the projecting light path. A manually operated switch is provided for actuation by a patient. A mark is presented and moved around the projected chart image for the purpose of having the patient actuate the switch when the mark is at a position corresponding to the slit of the chart. When the switch is actuated at a correct time, the chart advanced by one step but when the switch is actuated at an incorrect timing the lens of next larger dioptral valve is placed in the projecting light path.
