  • Publication number: 20130020736
Abstract: A manufacturing method for an absorptive article includes a sheet-stretching step of performing a stretching process to stretch a continuous body of the exterior sheet in a widthwise direction while conveying a continuous body. In the step of performing the stretching process, the continuous body is stretched by a stretching apparatus including a first roll and a second roll. An axial core of the first roll and an axial core of the second roll are correspond to the widthwise direction of the continuous body. The first roll and the second roll have surfaces each provided with columns of tooth units and untoothed units.

  • Publication number: 20120247661
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a composite continuous sheet for an absorbent article, a first continuous sheet is held sliding on a peripheral surface of a roll at a first speed lower than a peripheral speed of the roll. The first continuous sheet is cut with a cutter. The cut sheet is transported in the peripheral direction and at the peripheral speed while being held on the peripheral surface. A continuous sheet is selected among a plurality of continuous sheets including a continuous sheet transported at a second speed higher than the peripheral speed, and a continuous sheet transported at a third speed that is equal to or higher than the peripheral speed but lower than the second speed. The cut sheet is adhered to the selected continuous sheet supplied towards the peripheral surface of the roll.

  • Publication number: 20120225764
Abstract: There is provided a manufacturing method for a sheet-like member associated with an absorbent article, the sheet-like member having a folded-up section which is temporarily-secured in a folded-up state. The method includes: forming the folded-up section by folding up a continuous sheet in a width direction of the continuous sheet, the continuous sheet continuing along a transporting direction, creasing the folded-up section in a folded-up state by pressing continuously the folded-up section along a direction of a fold line of the folded-up section, temporarily-securing the folded-up section in a folded-up state by pressing the folded-up section with a plurality of protrusions that are included in a pressing member, producing the sheet-like member by dividing the continuous sheet with a predetermined pitch in the transporting direction, the continuous sheet having been creased and temporarily-secured, and conveying the produced sheet-like member.

  • Publication number: 20120130333
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing an absorbent article, an absorbent article 1 is manufactured in which backsheets are in continuation, in a state in which the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article 1 corresponds to the conveyance direction MD of a continuous body 120. The method the absorbent article includes: a step of pressing the continuous body 120 in a thickness direction T of the continuous body 120 by a pair of embossing roll mechanisms 520, a step of expanding the continuous body 120 that has been pressed towards outside a widthwise direction CD of the continuous body 120 until it becomes flat, by a pair of expansion roll mechanisms 600, and a step of joining a absorber 30 with the continuous body 120 of the backsheet.
