  • Patent number: 6190339
Abstract: A massage device has first and second massage members. The first massage member performs a circulating motion including (i) a massage zone where the member approaches the second massage member in a locus which swells in an outward direction as seen from a massage arm; and (ii) a release zone where the member separates from the second massage member in a locus which is shorter than the massage zone. The second massage member performs a reciprocal rocking motion in synchronization with the first massage member.

  • Patent number: 5846372
Abstract: To provide a practical mat for decorative aggregate exposed finishes applying for decorative finished concretes or the like and a method of industrially manufacturing a novel mat for decorative aggregate exposed finishes carrying a wide variety of decorative aggregates such as made of natural stones, ceramics, glass and plastics. A practical mat for decorative aggregate exposed finishes according to this invention is made through following steps; placing a hot melt adhesive film on one surface of soft and flexible decorative aggregate carrying net having a mesh size smaller than the particle size of decorative aggregates and greater than 2 mm, placing decorative aggregates on the hot melt adhesive film, and heating them entirely to a temperature higher than the melting point of the hot melt adhesive, thereby adhesively bonding the decorative aggregates and the carrying net for reinforcement firmly.

  • Patent number: 5681651
Abstract: The present invention concerns a tungsten carbide base cutting tools formed on sintered hard alloy substrate material. Multiple hard coatings are deposited on the Co-enriched surface layer of the substrate material, and Co-enriched surface layer occurs within a surface layer region that is 50 .mu.m from an interface of said substrate material, wherein the Co content in said surface layer that is 5-10 .mu.m from an interface of said substrate material is within a range from 15-25% by weight; wherein the Co content in said surface layer is more than the Co content in the core, and wherein the content of the carbides of Ti, Ta and Nb is lower than that in the core. The multilayer coating consists of a primary coating of TiCN, a secondary coating of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 and the surface coating consisting of at least one of TiCN and TiN. The interface between the substrate material and the primary coating is provided with a first intermediate coating consisting of TiN.

  • Patent number: 5106674
Abstract: A blade member of tungsten carbide based cemented carbide for cutting tools has a tungsten carbide based cemented carbide substrate having a hard phase, a binder phase and unavoidable impurities. The hard phase has 5% to 60% by weight of one or more of carbide and carbo-nitride of titanium, tantalum and tungsten, and carbide and carbonitride of titanium, tantalum, niobium and tungsten. The binder phase has 3% to 10% by weight of cobalt and a balance tungsten carbide. The substrate has a surface softening layer having a cobalt-pool phase and an interior portion. The surface softening layer has an outermost region in which hardness is generally constant with respect to depth from the substrate surface and an inner region in which hardness rises inwardly of the substrate up to the hardness of the interior portion. There is also disclosed a process for producing the above-mentioned blade member.
