Abstract: A cooling control apparatus for an internal combustion engine with a supercharger includes an internal combustion engine cooling circuit, an inhaled gas cooling circuit, a cooling water introducing passage, an overcooling determination device, and a temperature-decrease controller. The overcooling determination device is to determine whether the internal combustion engine is overcooled based on a decrease in temperature of cooling water in the internal combustion engine cooling circuit. The temperature-decrease controller is to control an amount of the cooling water flowing from the internal combustion engine cooling circuit to the inhaled gas cooling circuit via the cooling water introducing passage to control the decrease in the temperature of the cooling water in the internal combustion engine cooling circuit in a case where the overcooling determination device determines that the internal combustion engine is overcooled.

  • Publication number: 20160131017
Abstract: A cooling control system for an internal combustion engine, which is capable of circulating engine coolant while suppressing power consumption by an engine coolant pump as much as possible. The cooling control system is provided for cooling intake gases increased in temperature by being pressurized by a supercharger. The engine coolant pump of the electrically-driven type delivers engine coolant to thereby cause the same to circulate. An ECU controls, when a difference between the temperature of the engine coolant and a first target temperature is not larger than a first predetermined value, the amount of the engine coolant to be delivered to a predetermined minimum flow rate, and controls, when the difference is larger than the first predetermined value, the amount of the engine coolant to be delivered such that it becomes larger as the difference is larger.

  • Patent number: 9304629
Abstract: Radial transducers are provided for acoustic touch sensors. Different radial transducer arrangements may allow for locating multiple simultaneous touches without ambiguity, in some embodiments without a bezel. Instead of transmitting acoustic waves along a line to be reflected at multiple points, surface acoustic waves are transmitted in a radial wave pattern. Surface acoustic waves are transmitted along different angles spread out over at least part of the touch region. Various techniques may be used to generate the radial wave pattern, such as a convex wedge of a wedge transducer, interference patterns, a curved piezoelectric element, a curved reflector, a curved edge of the substrate, a curved grating, or one or more lenses. These devices for controlling the spread of the surface acoustic waves may alternatively be used for control of the surface acoustic rays for transmission along a single line or just along two lines (e.g., X and Y axes).

  • Patent number: 9114699
Abstract: In a hybrid drive apparatus, a first planetary gear mechanism transmits rotation of a first main shaft to which the engine driving force is inputted to a main speed-changing part at an equal speed due to engagement of a first clutch, and transmits the rotation of the first main shaft to the main speed-changing part and a first motor/generator at an increased speed due to engagement of a second clutch. This enables the range of gear ratios of the transmission to be extended and the degree of freedom in setting a gear ratio or a step ratio to be increased, and enhances the power generation efficiency by rotating the first motor/generator at a high speed without using a special speed increase device.
