  • Patent number: 5372189
Abstract: An integral type air conditioner intended to suppress the reduction in air conditioning ability to the utmost, even in introducing open air, includes a partitioning plate for partitioning the interior of the main body into an indoor side chamber and the outdoor side chamber. There is provided a suction port for introducing an air in the outdoor side chamber into the indoor side chamber, and a damper positioned in the outdoor side chamber for opening/closing the suction port. In the indoor side chamber, there are provided a cross-flow fan and a rear casing of the cross-flow fan. Further, on the windward side portion of the rear casing, there is provided auxiliary suction ports that communited with the suction port.

  • Patent number: 5295531
Abstract: An air conditioner having a partition for partitioning the inside thereof into indoor and outdoor sections with an intake port. A damper is provided at the intake port so that an outdoor air introduction path of the outdoor section and an outdoor air discharge path are cut off when introducing outdoor air by opening the damper. Air the outdoor air introduction path is guided into the indoor section.

  • Patent number: 4869075
Abstract: An air conditioner comprises a water distributor having an opening on its bottom plate, dams around the opening and inverted U-shaped members with a small space formed between the inverted U-shaped plates and the dams so that water in the distributor is guided by a capillary action and distributed to an indoor heat exchanger. A reservoir is disposed to a pipe system between a pump and the indoor heat exchanger so that drain water in the outdoor drain pan is directed to the indoor heat exchanger through the reservoir. The reservoir has a tube which permits excessive water to spill over an opening of the tube to return to the outdoor drain pan through a returning conduit pipe.

  • Patent number: 4793148
Abstract: The present invention provides an air conditioning apparatus in which a suction air stream drawn in the rotational direction of a propeller fan as it bypasses a baffle board, and a discharge air stream guided by a guide plate in the anti-rotational direction of the propeller fan toward the inner surface of the baffle board flow in the opposite directions and met each other in the air passage in a suction chamber, so that a powerful vortex of air is generated, the power of which is further increased by the curl plate extending so as to surround the center of the vortex. Therefore, a large quantity of water in the water storage recess in the upper surface of the bottom plate is lifted, and the resultant water turns into water droplets, which are then mixed in large quantities in the suction air stream entering the fan, whereby the water can be evaporated speedily.
