  • Patent number: 5194043
Abstract: An air conditioner has rotatable first and second deflectors provided in an outlet for discharging conditioned air. The first deflector is rotatable about a substantially horizontal axis so as to variably deflect the conditioned air in vertical directions. The second deflector is rotatable so as to block a breadthwise portion of the outlet while forming an air passage in the remainder breadthwise portion of the outlet. The first and second deflectors are rotatable independently of each other.

  • Patent number: 4297263
Abstract: A method of making a polypropylene printing plate using a paper matrix in which a roll and an opposing member are prepared, a paper matrix is attached to one of the roll and opposing member, a crystalline ethylene-propylene copolymer having a MFI (melt flow index) of 3.about.10, containing ethylene less than 20% by weight and tensile yield strength of 220.about.330 kg/cm.sup.2 is continuously fed under molten state between the roll and the opposing member, and then the crystalline ethylene-propylene copolymer is pressed and cooled to be hardened.Further, a reproducing printing plates consists of a crystalline ethylene-propylene copolymer whose melt flow index is selected in a range of 3.about.10, which contains ethylene less than 20 weight % and which has the tensile yield strength of 220.about.330 kg/cm.sup.2.

  • Patent number: 4152094
Abstract: The disclosure is concerned with an axial fan having a casing. Unacceptably high level of noise and low discharge pressure inherent in axial fans are attributable to a counter flow of fluid taking place through the gap between the radially outer ends of the rotating blades and the casing. The invention is directed to preventing the counter flow by providing guide vanes disposed in the gap and inclined symmetrically with the rotating blade, thereby to provide enhanced output flow rate and discharge pressure, as well as to reduce the level of noise. The invention is applicable also to such axial fan as having a baffle plate on the suction side of the rotating blade in the proximity thereof.

  • Patent number: 3945788
Abstract: A method of making reproduction printing plates having steps of disposing an opposed member against a roll member which has on its outer surface a matrix with a predetermined gap therebetween, supplying a molten thermoplastic material to the gap, and driving at least one of the opposing and roll members to press and roll the molten thermoplastic material onto the matrix. An apparatus of making reproduction printing plates having a matrix, a roll member having thereon the matrix, an opposing member disposed against the roll member with a predetermined gap therebetween, a device for supplying molten thermoplastic material to the gap, and a device for driving at least one of the roll and opposing members to press and roll the molten thermoplastic material.
