    Abstract: A fluid coupling control device of an automatic transmission includes a turbine chamber into which an operation fluid flows, an operation chamber which is separated from the turbine chamber and into which the operation fluid flows, a clutch mechanism which engages and disengages the input member with the output member, a piston member slid by a fluid pressure difference between the operation chamber and the turbine chamber so as to engage and disengage the clutch mechanism, a fluid source which supplies the fluid to the operation chamber and the turbine chamber, and a control device disposed between the fluid source and the operation chamber which controls the fluid pressure in the operation chamber based on the fluid pressure in the turbine chamber.

The manual valve is provided with a drain port for releasing, in the parking position, the hydraulic pressure of a hydraulic circuit which establishes the reverse range, and the drain port is provided with an orifice which limits the discharge rate of hydraulic pressure.

    Abstract: A parking device for an automatic transmission system in automotive vehicles includes a parking gear connected to the engine output shaft, a pawl having one end pivotally mounted to the transmission housing and the other end pivotable towards and away from the parking gear, and a parking cam operatively associated with the pawl and movable axially of the gear for bringing the pawl into and out of engagement with the parking gear. A cam guide and a reaction supporting bracket are retained by a plurality of bolts and by at least one boss having a flat surface and affixed to the transmission housing so as to be situated on the side of the pawl opposite the parking cam.

    Abstract: A sealing device disposed between flanges of a joint assembly comprises a sealing member having an endless shape and an end cover with its periphery held between the flanges and adapted to hold the sealing member inside of the periphery in association with the flange of a casing. The end cover has, along its periphery, first support portions spaced in equal interval and second support portions located between the adjacent first support portions. The second support portions are formed by folding back parts of the end cover and have bolt holes. The end cover further has a setting portion for the sealing member, inside of the periphery. The setting portion is recessed for a depth corresponding to the thickness of the end cover from the faces of the first and second support portions which are in contact with the flange of the casing.
