  • Patent number: 7874785
Abstract: A workpiece conveying apparatus of a machine tool, capable of covering a workpiece moving mechanism based on a simple structure and thereby preventing the entire machine from increasing in size is provided. A frame member 8 is formed by a pipe body extending from a workpiece machining position A to the vicinity of a workpiece carry-in-and-out position B, and the workpiece moving mechanism 7 is structured that a belt 12 is wound around a driving pulley 10 and a driven pulley 11 to drive the driving pulley 10 to rotate by a driving motor 13 where the belt 12 is arranged in the accommodated state in the frame member 8.

  • Patent number: 6860380
Abstract: A workpiece transfer device for machine tools that easily achieves positional adjustment of the rack while suppressing increases in cost and therefore preventing occurrences of vibrations and noise is disclosed. The workpiece transfer device includes a frame member having a rectangular cross-section. The device extends from a workpiece machining position to a workpiece loading/unloading position. A support member is hung on the frame member so as to be movable via a linear guide and which has a workpiece holding mechanism mounted thereon. A drive mechanism for rotationally driving a pinion gear engaged with a rack is provided on the frame member so as to be parallel to the linear guide so that the support member is moved between the two positions. The linear guide is disposed on one wall of the frame member and the rack is disposed on another wall surface so as to have its position adjustable.

  • Patent number: 6679369
Abstract: A machine tool has a pallet changer at a front of a machine body for automatically changing a preceding-process pallet loaded with a machined workpiece thereon for a next-process pallet loaded with an unmachined workpiece thereon. A working space is provided between the machine body and the pallet changer. Thus, a machine tool, as well as a pallet changer used in the machine tool can be provided that allows a working space to be ensured without causing any complications for the structure and that has a wide range of applications.

  • Publication number: 20030126942
Abstract: A machine tool rotational indexing device is provided that is capable of increasing transmission efficiency by preventing slip in transmitting a turning force of a gear mechanism and coping with high-speed rotational indexing with restrained heat generation. The device has a swivel slide loaded with a workpiece or a tool and is rotationally and indexably mounted in a specified rotational angle position on a fixed base. A large spur gear is provided in an outer peripheral portion of the swivel slide. A small spur gear meshed with the large spur gear is provided on an intermediate shaft arranged parallel to a rotational axis A of the swivel slide. A driving shaft arranged perpendicular to the rotational axis A and the intermediate shaft are connected to each other with a hypoid gear. The position of the large and small spur gears and the hypoid gear is adjustable to reduce backlash.
