  • Patent number: 10109449
Abstract: Each of first to fourth needle-like electrodes is arranged such that a direction of extension thereof is parallel, and generates ions by discharge. Through a space, a gas for conveying the ions generated by the first to fourth needle-like electrodes flows. Needle tips of the first needle-like electrode and the second needle-like electrode protrude from a first wall surface that forms the space, are spaced apart from each other, and are arranged in line in the space. Needle tips of the third needle-like electrode and the fourth needle-like electrode protrude from a second wall surface that forms the space and faces the first wall surface, are spaced apart from each other, and are arranged in line in the space. The first needle-like electrode and the fourth needle-like electrode generate positive ions, and the second needle-like electrode and the third needle-like electrode generate negative ions.

  • Patent number: 8773838
Abstract: An ion generating device generates O2?(H2O)n (where n is a natural number) as negative ions and H+(H2O)m (where m is a natural number) as positive ions, and discharges those ions into the air so that airborne germs are killed through an oxidation reaction by hydrogen peroxide H2O2 or radical hydroxyl OH generated through as an active species a chemical reaction between the negative and positive ions. Satisfactory sterilization is achieved when the negative and positive ions are generated in such a way that the concentrations of the negative and positive ions are both 10,000 ion/cc at a distance of 10 cm from the point at which they are generated.

  • Patent number: 8624476
Abstract: An ion-generating device includes a discharge electrode and an induction electrode. The discharge electrode has a needle-like tip. The induction electrode has a circular through hole. The tip of the discharge electrode penetrates the through hole of the induction electrode, and protrudes upward with respect to an upper surface of the induction electrode. It is thereby possible to obtain an ion-generating device capable of improving ion emission efficiency, and an electrical apparatus provided with the ion-generating device.

  • Patent number: 8576535
Abstract: An ion-generating device has a positive electrode pair and a negative electrode pair. The positive electrode pair and the negative electrode pair are disposed in a casing with a space interposed therebetween, such that an induction electrode in the positive electrode pair and an induction electrode in the negative electrode pair are separated from each other. It is thereby possible to obtain an ion-generating device and an electrical apparatus, capable of efficiently emitting both of positive ions and negative ions to an outside of the device, and easily achieving reduction in size and thickness.

  • Patent number: 8049170
Abstract: An ion generation element includes an induction electrode and a plurality of discharge electrodes. The induction electrode is formed of one metal plate. A circumferential portion of a through hole is bent, and a thickness of a wall portion of the through hole is greater than a thickness of a top plate portion. A needle-like tip end of the discharge electrode is located within a range of the thickness of the through hole. Thus, an induction electrode having a structure realizing a small thickness, capable of lessening variation in an amount of ion generation caused by variation in positional relation between the tip end of the discharge electrode and the induction electrode, an ion generation element, an ion generation apparatus, and electric equipment can be obtained.
