  • Patent number: 4880389
Abstract: An ignition plug connector and the method for manufacturing the connector, in which a metallic terminal is provided to receive one end portion of a high tension cord and securely hold the end portion by crimping, and the metallic terminal and the end portion of the high tension cord are covered by an insulating rubber cap formed through molding. In addition, the exposed conducting member extending from the end portion of the cord contacts with the inner surface of the metallic terminal, over which part of the rubber cap is provided to form a wall integral with the rubber cap so as to eliminate air gaps from near the exposed conducting member.

  • Patent number: 4748435
Abstract: A high-voltage resistance wire for use in an engine ignition device has a resistive conductor, an insulating layer covering the resistive conductor, and a protctive sheath layer surrounding the insulating layer. The protective sheath layer is loosely fitted to the insulating layer so as to provide a gap of 0.1 mm or greater therebetween. The gap results in a small electrostatic capacitance between the innermost resistive conductor and the outermost protective which improves the ignitability of the resistance wire. Additionally, the protective sheath layer is formed by impregnating or coating silicone resin or fluororesin into or onto a tubular fiber braided body of glass or polyaramide fiber. The protective sheath has an improved flexibility and tearing strength from an end terminal.

  • Patent number: 4644415
Abstract: A tape travelling drive circuit (25) of a magnetic video recording and reproducing apparatus enables a magnetic tape (1) to travel at a speed approximate to a value {2n.+-.(1/m)} times the travelling speed for recording (n being a positive integer and m being a positive integer excluding 1). A detector (34) detects an output level of a reproduced video signal. If the output level is higher than a predetermined level, the detector (34) stores the reproduced video signal in a storage circuit (35) for a specified period and at the same time provides the signal through a selector (32). If the output level is lower than the predetermined level, the reproduced video signal stored in the storage circuit (35) is read out and provided through the selector (32). Thus, even if the output level is lowered, a picture of good quality with little noise can be reproduced.
