  • Publication number: 20170098557
Abstract: To provide a plasma device that all functions required for a plasma etching process are incorporated into a narrow space of a minimal fabrication manufacturing device. A plasma processing chamber for performing the plasma etching process on a semiconductor wafer is provided, and a micro-plasma supply section and a lower electrode that superimposes RF on supplied micro-plasma are provided in the plasma processing chamber. A wafer support device that supports the semiconductor wafer supports the semiconductor wafer in the plasma processing chamber during the etching process. The wafer support device is coupled to and supported by a drive section that is arranged outside the plasma processing chamber. The drive section makes the wafer support device repetitively move scanningly in the plasma processing chamber in parallel with a wafer processing surface during the etching process.

  • Patent number: 8037491
Abstract: In a method and system for transmitting and receiving data, specified data can be transmitted only to a specific receiving terminal by assigning unique terminal information to the receiving terminal. When transmitted with data, the unique terminal information identifies the specific receiving terminal as the destination of transmission from among a plurality of receiving terminals. An update program for changing the processing of the receiving terminal may be transmitted to the specific receiving terminal along with the unique terminal information. The unique terminal information and the update program are stored in a prescribed storage location in the specific receiving terminal. Thus, a one-to-one broadcasting system is achieved.

The recording element has an uneven Cr distribution such that the ratio of the number of Cr atoms that constitute the recording element to the total number of Co, Cr, and Pt atoms that constitute the recording element is less at the sidewall portion of the recording element than at the center portion of the recording element. The relationships given by Expressions (I) and (II) below are satisfied; Hnc<Hns??(I), and Hnc/Hcc<Hns/Hcs??(II) where Hns is the nucleation magnetic field of the sidewall portion of the recording element, Hnc is the nucleation magnetic field of the center portion of the recording element, Hcs is the coercive force of the sidewall portion, and Hcc is the coercive force of the center portion.

  • Publication number: 20110024388
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium is provided which can sufficiently reduce variations in surface roughness even in the simultaneous presence of a region of a relatively wide concave and convex portion and a region of a relatively narrow concave and convex portion in the recording layer. The method includes the steps of etching a recording layer based on a (first) mask layer to process it in a concavo-convex pattern, and depositing a filler over the recording layer and the mask layer to fill a concave portion with the filler. In between those steps, provided is the step of removing part of the first mask layer over a recording element (a convex portion of the recording layer) by dry etching in which an etching rate for the mask layer is higher than that for the recording layer so that the mask layer remains over the recording element.
