  • Patent number: 6161449
Abstract: A steering wheel rotating apparatus for physically handicapped persons includes a grip holder having a grip hole and an engaging member projectable from the inside surface of the grip hole. The grip holder is fixed to the steering wheel of an automobile. A rotary grip having a shaft with an insertion part is detachably received in the grip hole and a grip body part mounted on the shaft, and a switch unit having a switch case and switches is detachably fitted to the grip holder, so that a physically handicapped person may operate the steering wheel using the rotary grip and also operate the switches by the hand which is gripping the rotary grip. When a non-physically handicapped person is to operate the steering wheel, the rotary grip and the switch unit may be removed so as not to interfere with steering wheel operation.

  • Patent number: 5168771
Abstract: A left side accelerator apparatus for physically handicapped persons provided with a formation wherein a cover member is removably provided on a base fixed on an automobile floor side, a main shaft is rotatably supported by the cover member, a left side pedal arm fitted with a left side accelerator pedal is fitted to the main shaft at the left end and a right side arm having a roller in contact with an automobile side accelerator pedal is fitted to the main shaft at the right end so that the automobile side accelerator pedal may be operated by treading in the left side accelerator pedal. Thus, a person physically handicapped in the right foot can operate the accelerator of an automobile with the left foot and, when the apparatus is not used, it will be able to be removed by one touch so as not to be in the way of the driving operation by a non-handicapped person.

  • Patent number: 4651067
Abstract: An apparatus for driving a brushless motor, in which a ripple appearing in the rotation torque of the motor is cancelled by driving the motor with a signal current whose phase is opposite to that of and which has a waveform symmetrical with that of the torque ripple waveform, so that the motor can rotate accurately without any speed variation. In order to obtain such a signal current waveform, counter-electromotive forces induced in the stator coils of the motor are detected, and the level of the signal indicative of the detected counter-electromotive forces is controlled depending on the load and rotation speed of the motor to provide a control signal for controlling the motor drive current.

  • Patent number: 3984943
Abstract: A liquid containing abrasives is projected through nozzles under high pressure upon the surface of an object to be treated such as sheet steel to descale and clean the surface thereof, and the projected abrasive liquid is recovered so that abrasives of suitable particle sizes may be reused. The jet liquid is a mixture of high pressure liquid and slurry abrasives which are substantially uniform in density and granular size. The mixed slurry after projection against the sheet steel workpiece is returned to a vertical style classifier before it settles to the bottom of the collecting tank. The scales which are removed from the sheet steel workpiece are separated out in the classifier while at the same time the density and the granular sizes of the abrasives are made uniform. In addition, the minuscule abrasives are caused to overflow from the classifier while the liquid and the slurry abrasives made uniform in density and granular size are conveyed to the nozzles.
