  • Patent number: 6444977
Abstract: In an electric member having a number of leads such as in a remote-controlled light receiving module, loosening prevention kinks created on at least one of the leads are shaped such that the shorter the distance from the loosening prevention kink to the tip of the lead the thinner the loosening prevention kink. When the electric member is mounted on a printed circuit board, the leads are inserted into wiring through-holes on the printed circuit board by pressing the electric member against the board, allowing the position and orientation of the electric member to be firmly fixed automatically by virtue of the loosening prevention kinks.

  • Patent number: 6326063
Abstract: A member covered with a self-fluxing alloy sprayed coating is produced by previously forming a porous ceramic sprayed coating on a surface of a self-fluxing alloy sprayed coating prior to a refusing treatment of the coating formed on a substrate, heating the sprayed coating in an inert gas atmosphere controlled to 1˜300 hPa or by a high frequency induction heating system and thereafter removing the ceramic sprayed coating to expose the self-fluxing alloy sprayed coating. This member is uniform in the thickness, less in the retention of pores or oxide impurities and has a strong coating property.

  • Patent number: 5789077
Abstract: Thermally sprayed coatings made from carbides of metals having greater carbon affinity than Cr in the presence of free carbon, or thermally sprayed coatings made from carbides of metals having smaller carbon affinity than Cr are heat treated in a chromium halide containing atmosphere which also contains hydrogen gas, whereby activated metallic Cr is precipitated in a fine particulate form, which is allowed to act on the thermally sprayed coatings, whereupon a Cr.sub.23 C.sub.6 -form carbide is created not only on the coating surface but also in its interior, particularly within pores, to form a modified layer, thereby compositing the thermally sprayed coatings.

  • Patent number: 5591966
Abstract: An optical element supported to an optical element supporting lead is sealed by a package having a lens. A height t2 from the rear surface of the optical element supporting lead at the portion projected outside from the package to the rear surface of the package is set to be substantially equal to a height t1 from the surface of the optical element to a top of a lens or the difference between the heights t1 and t2 is set small. Thus, the package can be assembled into a printed circuit board or the like by an insertion machine. Moreover, a power-saving and a mass-production become possible.
